GameSpot reports that the Generals expansion, Command & Conquer Generals: Sandstorm, is scheduled for release in Q4 2003. For the article at GameSpot,

Update: Sandstorm was yet another April Fool's Joke, as confirmed by
Renegade Generals. A Generals expansion pack has been confirmed however, both previously by Mark Skaggs and by a game tester opening as posted on
this page.
