Maps and Downloads Now on C&C Labs

As part of our ongoing effort to expand our coverage of the Command & Conquer franchise, we have now moved all of our downloads to our sister-site, C&C Labs. This includes all of the fan-created maps we host.

C&C Labs Maps UI

The biggest improvement that accompanies this change is the launch of our improved interface for finding and downloading C&C maps. Our maps download pages now allow you to filter maps based on a number of common "tags" that describe them -- such as "detailed," "money map," or "well-balanced." Visitors can rate and tag maps themselves, which in turn helps other visitors more quickly find the maps they want.

For example: Looking for a good, detailed 2-player Tiberium Wars map? The filter shown to the right should help you out.

We hope this change will help players spend less time testing out new maps, only to decide they never want to play on them again, and more time playing on great, quality maps they enjoy.

We have also altered our map submission page to be a more streamlined wizard. There some behind-the-scenes improvements we've made as well which will help us review the maps you submit and get back to you quicker.

On a related note, we're now accepting Red Alert 3 map submissions.

If anyone has any questions, comments, or suggestions related to these changes, please feel free to post in our forums.
