New C&C 3 Screens

There are quite a few new screens out for C&C 3. Here are seven of them (click for full size):

In addition, Community Manager Predator gave us some details on the following screen. According to him, it's
a marquee shot that I don’t think you’ve seen or at least seen around. You’ll notice in the background the Planetary Assault Carrier. This base-destroying artillery flying structure flies very slowly over the terrain but comes equipped with 8 Invader class fighters, it has one of the coolest deploy animations I’ve ever seen and when the Invaders are flying around, it looks like an insane dog-fighting war mixed with ground artillery. It is lethal weapon for the 3rd Faction, one that can be powerful if used correctly. It is by far my favorite unit in the game, simply because of the way the Invader ships deploy off it and land on it and fly around like maniacal alien pilots.

Predator also mentioned that they've completed the December Community Summit section on the official C&C 3 site. It's a good overview of the event.

Lastly, there's a new preview at IGN of C&C 3 for the Xbox 360, featuring many of these screenshots. Here's a snippet:
Using the BfME2 engine, EA has, as they say, done some plumbing. By "plumbing," EA means it has worked long and hard on the underlying engine, streamlining processes, speeding up commands, and making Command and Conquer a faster, quicker, and more explosive looking game than its Middle-earth predecessor. The work has paid off and clearly can be seen in the Xbox 360 alpha build we played. Call up a few Orcas, flying battle ships, and watch them shoot off a few simple rockets. The missiles launch slowly, then speed up, arch across the sky, smoke and steam issuing from their tails, heat blurs tailing, and then smash into their targets. (Once they're out of missiles, by the way, they'll automatically return to base to pick up more.)
