Yuri is pretty good at rushing. I was playing as allies (maybe korea?) against a yuri opponent in quickmatch 1v1. I started by scouting the map with a dog and building ore miners and a 2nd ore refinery. I saw the bottom half of his base (enough to see what he was building) and saw 3 gattling tanks, so I cancelled the miners and built grizzly tanks and some GGI's. He sent in the gattling tanks and easily killed my GGI's before I could get them deployed and then they ran away before my tanks could take care of them. About 5 minutes into the game I see him getting magnetrons and I don't even have a battle lab yet! He sent in a mix of 5 gattling tanks, 3 magnetrons, a virus, and 5 lasher tanks and a master mind and took care of my base before I had a chance. It might have been different if I was soviets, because maybe my tanks would've held out better.

Yuri actually only needs to have the Psychic Radar in order to build Magnetrons.

Did you ever build the Robot Control Center? The Robots can't get mind controlled and they have a pretty good anti-tank gun. They also hover over the battle field. Maybe some of them as defense would have been handy.
Also if you had some remining GI's, you could have attacked the Master Mind with 4-5 GI's. Then it would had been overloaded.
But yeah, that attack was a great mix indeed, he had almost atleast one of every unit from his arsenal.

Also note: I did some tests, and the Yuri Lasher Tank is identically the same as one Grizzly Tank.
And the Gattling Tank cost as much as one IFV Vehicle.

And then one interesting fact, Yuri's Amphibious Transport is a unigue unit, for example if you are Allied and capture Yuri's Submarine Ben, you will get access to build 2 Different Amphibious Transports, one normal Allied and one slight darker version that belongs to Yuri.
It also had a cool unit-speech. "Yuri commands me..." - Female voice

Only problem with your story is that allies can't capture submarine pens, so you must've been yuri and capture allied yard with yuri Prime. And for the robot tanks, I don't like them very much... They just seem like they're actually worse then grizzly tanks in most cases.

Well I meant building it... I had captured a Yuri Construction yard.

EDIT: Don't want this thread to die though. Just played around with the Yuri Army, and found some neat tactics.
Here follows a long list of things I did today in Yuri's Revenge.

First I played versus one Brutal Soviet Army. Super Weapons ON.

I first lost some games because I forgot to build AA, his kirov madnesses destroyed my base. Also, when he used his Iron Curtain on his 3 Apocalypse Tanks, I also lost. On the Manual they actually say that Iron Curtain affected units are still mind-control-able? Is this a bug then, that you can't really do that in game?
Anyways, after some build order tactics I managed to get up one Psychic Dominator before his SW. And each time he was about to attack me with 3 Apocalypse Tanks I just used the Psychic Dominator on them just in time, WHILE they still were inside his own base. After that I used the Genetic Mutator (lots of lonely Conscripts).
The thing I found out here was that the Psychic Dominator Area of effect is the same as Iron Curtain and Chronosphere.
I also managed to mind control some of his Apocalypse tanks later, and put them on bunkers. Instead of base defenses I had 10 Gattling Tanks on Guard inside my base, those took good care of Kirovs.
I used the same tactic with the SW several times, and I also used his own Apocalypse tanks to destroy his harvesters.
I also found out that you can use the Psychic Dominator on boats and naval units, even stealthy submarines. I took a fast guess and pointed somewhere on the waters and managed to mind-control his remaining submarines with the Psychic Dominator and won the game.

Next war = versus one Brutal Allied Army. Super Weapons ON.

Same build order here, so I had my SW fully going while he just managed to construct them. On this map which I used there's one damaged city in the middle of the map. I used in the beginning 3 Engineers and repaired three of the buildings, then sended in full of Initiatives. Those took care of early rushes (the city was also on a ridge).
I used my fast Lasher tanks to kill the enemy Prism tanks which were annoying in the beginning (their long range).
This opponent also attacked me with boats, destroyed my Radar, Barracks, Power and Battle Lab. Then I builded one Magnetron as soon as possible and draged the boats over land (nice tactic!). Then I builded 3 Master Minds on the enemies choke point, took care of his units (he constantly attacked with tanks and infantry).
Here also happend one very interesting "accident". I saw him gather his tanks for an attack (chronosphere attack). 2 Prism tanks and 3 Grizzly tanks, I just managed to get in the Psychic Dominator on the units at the same time he used his Chronosphere. All of a sudden I had 2 Prism tanks and 3 Grizzly tanks mind-controlled in the middle of my base. I put the Prism tanks on Bunkers and sended the Grizzly tanks in my Grinder. Later I used the psychic dominator on his Battle Fortress units and afterwards the Genetic mutator on his remaining infantries (btw, the Brutes really kill tanks fast, 3-4 hits kills one Grizzly tank).
I also sended in waves of Floating Discs and shutted down his power (these units are just so overpowered if the enemy have little AA units). Lastly 3 Master Minds, 4 Magnetrons and Yuri Prime owned his base.
NOTE: I also found out that Virus can attack and damage tanks and structures. I attacked his last power plants with a huge army of viruses. Then he sold all his structures and attacked with the remaining GI's, but Virus killed em all.

So don't get me wrong with the topics titel. I do think the Yuri is a good army but it needs alot of micromanaging and brains. The AI don't know how to use his powers, it's like you give a Laser Sabre to the AI but he don't know how to activate it.

EDIT:

Now I know how to win with every side on Brutal.

Allied vs Soviet
Allied vs Yuri
Allied vs Allied

Soviet vs Allied
Soviet vs Yuri
Soviet vs Soviet

Yuri vs Allied
Yuri vs Soviet
Yuri vs Yuri

Now I think I should try with versus two armies at the same time.

EDIT: Wow, there was a patch for Yuri's Revenge, never knew that. It adds alot of good features and improvements. Also Yuri Prime now sells the buildings directly after he captures them = better AI.

Also for the first time I succesfully played a MOD. It was named Apocalypse, had 85 new units. Unfortunately all the new units were way too overpowered. Made a "neat" rush with around 6-8 of the new infantry units (I think they were called Prism Troopers), destroyed the whole enemy base with them.
In the end, wasn't so funny, so I uninstalled the MOD.

By the way, I had Creates ON in one game. Brutal Allied AI. I got the Remove-shroud from one of the creates in the beginning, so I could see the enemy base.
However, not sure if this is a bug or if it's ment to be like this. But the enemy (just like me) had 2 Refinerys, 1 Barracks, 1 War Factory and 1 Radar + some Power Plants.
When I constructed my Rhino Tanks all of a sudden the AI starts to construct Mirage Tanks and Prism Tanks from his War Factory. So his first rush was 2 Mirage Tanks, 2 Prism Tanks and some Grizzly Tanks. How is this possible without a Battle Lab?
