Hi i installed C&C Generals and set the resolution to the highest possible but noticed I couldn't see the bottom of the screen. I then tried to change it but the "change" button is at the bottom so I can't click it!

I even tried uninstalling and re-instaling the game but it remembered the settings some how! Please help! How do I reset the resolution/graphics??? Angry

Thanks!

Have you tried setting your PC resolution to a large screen size? Maybe this would open up more window.

I said, your PC.

In any case, you should be able to open the file called "settings" with notepad and make manual option changes. You'll find this file in the documents section of generals or zerohour whichever the case may be.

Change the resolution through the monitor so that it accomodates the new resolution...

On my PC, the file can be found in My Docunments/Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data.

I'd look into Krits idea. There must be something about the monitor not showing the resolution the PC or the game is set at.

Yeah, in the Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data folder, delete the Options.ini. This will reset the the options to default & the game will create a new one as soon as you load it up.

Older CRT monitors sometimes need to be adjusted manually when a new resolution is chosen on the PC. Newer monitors, such as my 19" Sony LCD, tends to automatically adjust to the new settings, however, they can sometimes adjust incorrectly and would require manual re-adjusting.

aye, when I boot in linux, the LCD over stretches the monitor and I get a significant portion of the top and bottom chopped off. you may have to manually adjust the monitor. also, make sure you're not using the wrong aspect ratio. that could be throwing off the game. for example, don't use 1920x1200 on a 4:3 ratio monitor as it is widescreen and will look bad and vice versa (it could chop off parts too)
