I've been modifying the popular AOD map,
mission --- the i^love^ aod map v28. I'm almost done with it but I'm having an extreme lag issue with it. Now I know usually AOD maps lag but this occurs when the enemy units get destroyed, not when they just exist. Could some of you try out the map & see if it lags for you? I've got it in test mode so you don't have to do anything but watch.
If it does lag for you, I'm not asking you to do a full scale examination on the map, or even check it out in World Builder,
I would just like to just here suggestions on what may be the problem. When you're about to play it, but sure to include GLA computer player in the top position. The waves will come faster if you put it an Hard.

Yay! I've resolved the problem!
What I did was I went through all the teams & unchecked,
Automatically reinforce whenever possible & the other two things under that. Since they really only apply to AI players that build the teams, I thought I might as well do it. Although I have no idea why the original maker of the map checked them in the first place.

I'm not entirely sure why this got rid of the lag but I have a hypothesis. I've got some really strong units off the border of the map that are transferred to SkirmishGLA at game start & are on hold status until they are used on the map. So I think that when a team has
Automatically reinforce whenever possible, it tries to take those units & reinforce them with the team. But since they are on hold status, they can't. This would cause the lag. I also think that when units of the team get destroyed, they reattempted to have those units reinforce the team. This would make sense as to why the game lags as more units get destroyed because every time one does, the units try to move & join with the teams.
So the moral is, don't check those thingies in the team window for an AOD maps.
Thank you all who considered this problem!
