This seems to work for most mods, I haven't found one it hasn't worked for.

Whether its RA3 or CNC3 or any other game, the following should help launch the mods.

Download whatever the mod is. For instance, Tiberium essence or The Forgotten mods for CNC3.

Place the file folder in the CNC3 Directory.

Move the SkuDef (Mutant_1.1.SkuDef) (TiberiumEssence_1.6.skudef) etc, file into the "Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars" folder, which is also home to the CNC3 application.

copy the ".big" file from the mod folder and go to

command and conquer 3 tiberium wars > core > 1.9

and paste the ".big" file there (Mutant.big) (TiberiumEssence.big) etc.

go to the "config" file in the 1.9 folder.

there should be (based on the game, this example uses cnc3) 2 lines of text

"add-big patch9.big"

"add-config . .\1.8\config.text"

to enable the mod just add the line

"add-big Mutant.big"

"add-big TiberiumEssence.big"

or whatever the ".big" file name of the mod is to that config file.

with the root files in the Cnc3 folder, the skudef in the main folder and the changes to the core > 1.9 files, the mods should boot when you start up Cnc3, even through origin.

P.S. if you wish to revert to vanilla cnc3, simply delete the added line of text in the 1.9 config text file, the ".big" file from the 1.9 folder, and the skudef file from the main folder.

these files should all still have the originals in the folder you copied to the CNC3 folder, so if you want to switch back and forth it only takes a few minutes to make the necessary changes.

Hope this helps someone having the same issues I had. :)

Hi, I think mods development is one of the most difficult thing.
