Hi, I have been playing with world builder for a few years now(off and on) and had an idea to create a map the other day with a mission. I want to play against the computer in a skirmish map while on the search for "captured units". I would like to assign a few vehicles at the start of the game to myself, to rescue them in, and then when I have moved into an area with another unit(or sighted the unit) I would like them to be transferred to me as if I rescued them. I have searched all the posts and have not found a very good solution. I have tried assigning the units to faction civilian and then using the script player>transfer>transfer units to another player, but the only way that works is to send the units to player0. then it says player0 does not exist and then the computer player will not do anything. they just sit there. Then I tried assigning them to player civilian and then transferring them to "local player" and that seemed to work but the computer player still does nothing during game play, plus that also assigns all supply docks and buildings and stuff to me as well. I tried listing all other objects as neutral like the supply docks but still the computer player will not respond or start building. I have tried many other ways of doing this without assigning the units to player0 but nothing else works. Can someone help me figure this out? Im using C&C zero hour world builder.

Alright, first, make sure you've got everything to get the AI comp to build. Waypoints, Areas, etc.
Secondly, you unfortunately can't use Teams to transfer units in Skirmish. You have give each individual unit a unique name (dude1, dude2, dude3, etc) and transfer them using the script to transfer a single unit. (You can transfer multiple units at once though like that I single script though)
Also, the computer really doesn't do anything with units spawned/transferred to it like that. Sadly.
And you say you're assigning Supply Docks to your side, right? Well, that actually prevents anybody else except for you from getting cash from it, believe it or not! It is impossible to make your Chinooks/Trucks/Workers use a Supply Dock/Pile if it is not neutral or allied to them. |
Any old friends still on here can add me on discord @jcdenton2187. I'm far more likely to respond there. |

as i have said many times you dont have to give them all names just create a second civilian player and name is something (eg: Transfer) and use the script to transfer all units and structures from player Transfer to player player# the player # is just which player down from the top row you are so if your in skirmish you should always be player0 you can add this to any skirmish map just make sure the rest of the map is set up as normal |

And I don't seem to recall you specifically saying to make another Civilian PLAYER, you just vaguely mentioned something about teams and Civilian. Not to be mean, I respect your modding knowledge. |

Thanks for taking the time to give me your input. I'm about to open world builder and try it again without using a team. I hope this works. ill let you know what happens. ;]
