Does anyone else lag real bad on Zero hour? I mean it doesnt really lag bad until someone builds a superweapon. It doesnt matter if I'm playing on a LAN party or online. It is crazy.

So this is common among everyone? I mean it is really bad. It is like a 2 to 3 second stop in the game kind of lag. It's not like I have a crappy computer. I just built one for me and a friend and we played on LAN and it was just as bad as online. It's like someone is pausing the game for a couple seconds through out the battle.

In that case, see if you have any background programs running that could interfere with the game in any way.

Yeah, that doesn't sound right, at least for a LAN party... Like Krit said, make sure there aren't any background programs running, or anything that could interfere with your connection, like a Firewall, anti-virus program, etc.

Yeah I'm used to a little lag that I get on generals but there usually isnt anything running in the background when I play zero hour.

Ill try it turned off. I allowed all of the ports it was blocking. I opened all the ports on my router too for command and conquer. Soo we will see what happens.

Yeah I have broadband. I tweaked a couple graphics settings and it seems to run lag free on single player. I plan on trying multiplayer tonight. I had all the settings at max and ever box was on.

lag often happens when you have players who have pings above 50, my ping is generally around 30, so i try to play with pple with less than 50 ping. High pings are killer for lang. Got soem people playing on typewritters lol

A ping of 50 is perfectly fine. I play with people above that all the time. When I play ZH with Krit his ping is over 900 and it still plays fine. Mine is usually around 20ms online.

And, as he said earlier, it was probably his graphic settings, not his connection...

My post count on GW has nothing to do with the game (I don't think it does, lol. If you meant in-game, I am only a Brigadier General.), and I haven't played the newest shockwave, so you never know. I have around 180 wins and 200 losses on my ZH online account last I checked.

But sure, we should play sometime. If the 6 AI are hard armys, I wouldn't mind doing a comp stomp. We should also get Twii Light to play too, seeing how much he likes Shockwave.
