I know I'm a super veteran of the forums and have been playing this game since 2003.
One thing that has always bugged me has been regarding the Zero Hour Generals Challenge.
Can somebody please tell me why China Infantry Gen and GLA Demo Gen were not included as playable opponents in the Generals Challenge? |

What can you expect from an EA franchise. Its probably dure to time constraints, and because of profit or something of that sort. Many features were not implemented, thats why laser general doesnt have many laser units as planned originally Edited by user Tuesday, January 6, 2015 3:40:13 AM(UTC)

This has bugged me as much as it has bugged you. Now, of course they are included in some mods, Reborn I presume, it being an expansion of ZH. Some speculate it is due to time constraints during the game's development. But they are available in some mods. If they were available, they would be superbly fun and interesting to play against due to their powerful play styles and fascinating tactics! But yes, it is very annoying that these two excellent generals (Rondall is my favorite general), are not available to play against. |

If you look inside the files of the US version, you'll find an unfinished map located where the generals challenge maps are, and it is presumably the Demo general's challenge as it takes place in a desert. A German Version? Interesting! But yes, it is most probable that these two generals and numerous other features could not have been included due to time constraints. And the small piece of info about the unfinished map for Demo is also interesting. Plus I looked up the German Version and it is to say the least it's quite creepy. Everything that has a face is turned robotic! Even the Generals! All turned into cyborgs! And the Terrorist turned into a small buggy! P.S. I managed to obtain that info about the German Version of the game from Hell Warrior who kindly showed me a small part of clip showcasing the units differences. Yeah, time constraints is the most likely reason for their absence. BUT, someone did make an Infantry General Challenge! http://www.cnclabs.com/d...ads/details.aspx?id=1565As for Germany, I would actually be a little surprised if they were in that version. I also wish I could have those robots. They look so awesome. |

Everything that was missing from the game due to time constraints was added into the Progen mod. The creator of that mod was one of the game developers. |

He has a laser cannon. Heck, Superweapons general actually has multiple superweapons. There are even 3 boss generals, one for each faction. Absolutely everything missing from the game has been added.
