hi,
i would really like to try out this mod for C&C TW, but how can i install it on a mac?
There is a launcher, but there is no option to use mods. i guess it must be somehow possible to edit some config file to make use of the mutant.big file. can anyone help how to get this running in apple osx.

thank you very much

Er...this may sound stupid, but have you tried to created a folder named "Mods" under your TW folder, then place the mod inside? That way it should show up in the launcher, that is how you normally play C&C3 mods.

Is there an autorun.exe on the disc of the Mac version?

you mean on the retail C&C 3 disc? no there you have the app which you copy to the harddrive.

from what i understand, the mac c&c version is just inside a cider wrapper. so the files and the structure should be the same.

i dont know of that helps, but this is where the coustom maps go to

thank you for your help

It looks like the mod is installed in the right place. Attached is what it looks like on Windows.

What does your launcher program look like? For me, here is how I would launch a mod manually: press the "Game Browser" button, click the "Mods" tab, select the mod to play, and hit Launch (see 2nd attached image).

Also, as for how to tell the game to use the Mutant.big file explicitly, this is the target of the shortcut created by the installer on Windows:
Quote:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Command & Conquer 3\CNC3.exe" -modconfig "C:\Users\[USER]\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Mods\Mutant\config.txt"

So, if you can launch CNC3.exe on the Mac with "-modconfig [-YOUR-PATH-TO-]\Mutant\config.txt" as its argument, it should hopefully work.

Hope that helps.

Hi, I am having the same issue.
I don't quite know where to locate the folder where mods are( or where they should be in that case)
Could someone help me out with this?
Do I go into the application data and search for C&C3, or do i right click on the icon and show location there or what exactly do i do...

Also, I don't have the option to
Quote:
Game Browser
in my startup menu.
All i have is
Play
Check for updates
Readme
Visit Website
Tech Support
and Quit.
( I am running the latest patch 1.9, so I don't see why I don't have it...)

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

EDIT: I seem to have the path up to the CNC part...
The thing is cidered or whatever you call it.
I found the EA-C&C3 path, but then you guys say you have to go inside or open it with something... either way if i try to place my mod folder somewhere in that rough area it doesn't work.

My current path to the CNC3 is:
Applications/Command and Conquer 3.app/Contents/Resources/Command and Conquer 3.app/Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/Command & Conquer 3

Could someone elaborate more on what to do with the CNC3.exe file and Where exactly to put the Mods Folder( or find it if it exists), and how to get the game browser in the startup menu?

What cool applications do you know for iPhone, or MacBook, I really liked their ecosystem and how the devices are connected with each other, but it seems to me that it can be done even cooler, what applications would you recommend for this?

I have been using Apple technology for a long time and have been working on a MacBook laptop for many years, I really like it and it always works perfectly. But I don't really like how password autocomplete works there and was looking for an alternative https://setapp.com/apps/secrets application. I recently found an app that worked great for me. I trust their confidentiality, simple and clear saving of passwords, I can recommend them to everyone.
