What's with this "Pro Rules"? Isn't it a bit contradicting? If people were actually pros, they'd play by no rules, since they are able to handle any situation thrown at them, which is why they are pro.

No Demobikes? Come on. If you can't deal with them, you by no means should call yourself a pro.

No Super Weapons? Same as above.

No Auroras? Pfft. All it takes to deal with Auroras is a little tactical thinking. If they are building Auroras, they are neglecting a huge part of their army, so go around and attack their Air Field, or bomb it to kingdom come! This only requires a little thought.

Seriously, do pros use their heads or just their keyboard and mouse?

Well, "Pro Rules" just makes "No Rules" sound better. It doesn't necessarily mean the players who are playing are pro's.

I also simpathise with you about Demo Bikes & Auroras. When people ban these, they imbalance the game. I'm Laser General & I usually never build Auroras anyway, so I don't mind when people make that rule. However, if I'm being swamped with long range units (which the Laser General can't build.) I'll break the no Aurora rule & use them.

Although I do think that allowing SW's isn't very fun. Because the game usually ends right when that SW fires, that is, if your enemy keeps pounding you so you can't attack it.

I agree with most of what you say but not the SW thing.

A single or even a few SW's can't destroy a base but they are useful for things like making a hole in the defenses, destroying airfields,....
In order to demolish an entire base you need a lot of them.

Also you can see a super weapon coming at least 3min ahead so you have enough time to prepare for it or destroy it (this is were the Aurora comes in.) so if you can't stop you enemy from having 2+ SW's you aren't realy pro.

Four minutes, and I agree with Pi, it can be more fun and more challenging to have a game based off tactical offensive warfare, rather than one that ends with the launch of a super weapon because no one had the guts or no how, to take down the enemy base without it. You see this more against computer players, but super weapons too easily become the 'end all' for stale mates and such.

I prefur to play no rules matches and I heverly disagree with no rush rules. This heaverly favors the USA and most people break it anyway and so they get an advantage

about the SW rule. I agree with yoshi and icewind. it does make the game more fun. Unless your enemy is using GLA, Has A LOT of air defense, and has a Scud storm then i would say your screwed unless you can get your butt out of there. lol

If you are using USA you can send aurora's on a suicide mission to clear the SWs.

PROs should be aware of the simulation factor involved in online gaming.
Concentrate on playing without too many embarrassing unit loses, Skill factor!

As for the fair play rule!! well that only applies good gamers, don’t apply to numb skulls, But it dame well should,,,

Interesting thought, I kind of agree with you. When players take away Auroras from the USAs, they are harming the USA side. The two rules I do sympathize with are No Superweapons and No Rush. No rush moreso, because No Rush games tend to be very different from regular games, and the change is nice once in awhile.

all rules are made and kept at the players discretion.

Now how professional is a 5 minutes match,
In a game that should be long like Wars are,

And how pro!! is noob bashing,

These players use Pro in vain!,

Pros play an all round action packed game, That has the fun of a hard met challenge with it,,

As for the fire Storm Aurora? Well there’s nothing left when the bomb blows up so Useless really! Unless you want to Firestorm debris’s !?! Lol.

An pro is someone that is able to beat a lot of good players. Letting your enemy build up his base is just noob and not how the game is ment. This game is also not intended to be long as a real war. Instead it's about action and attacking. If you're good at it your games will laster longer than 5 minutes then as well.

You started rushing because you cant beat a ready army!!!!!! Your only good at Fighting buildings and dozers,,,,,,,

Fact is that you die when you play a no rules game. If that happens to be within 5 minutes your enemy is just way better than you. If this game is ment to be played without rush then why are there units in this game like technicals or battlemasters? Oh, and visit a shrink.
