| Hi, I am creating a map at the moment, but when I save it and test it, it runs extremely slowly. I originally thought it may be because I had about 8 civilian vehicles scripted to run on waypoints. However when I removed the scrpts and the waypoints, it makes no difference to the speed. It is a skirmish map. Any help would be great. |

| Assuming areas and pathways are setup correctly, elevations and choke points can really slow the game down as well. To test this, flatten the map with your height tool and save as a new map. I would think game speed would improve ten-fold. Just like a painting of mountains looks like mountains yet is flat, you could add many interesting texture variations giving the appearance of rolling hills on a flat playing field. It's totally up to you how you make your map but this is something to keep in mind. |
