i have windows 7 and have installed TFD, i can run every other game on thhe disc but when i try to play yuris revenge, the first splash screen comes up, then the screen goes black and i can use the mouse, but then it goes to the desktop and nothing happens, any ideas?

Are you trying to run it in Compatibility mode?

This worked for me:
Using Windows Explorer, browse to
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert(tm) II\RA2
[size=3]or, if you have the 64 bit version of Windows 7:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert(tm) II\RA2[/size]
Inside that folder, find the following files:
[list][*]game.exe[*]gamemd.exe[*]Ra2.exe[*]RA2MD.exe[*]YURI.exe[/list]
For each of the above files, do the following:
[list][*]Right-click the file, select Properties.
[*]Pick the Compatibility tab.
[*]Press the "Change settings for all users" button
[*]Under "Compatibility mode", check "Run this program in compatibility mode for", and select "Windows 98 / Windows Me".[/list]
Then try playing Yuri's Revenge. Enjoy!

This error really hacked me off!
Thanks btw for the instructions to get it working but I just got to say that I had no problem running this game a few months back. I've recently formatted my computer and ran the game again and now it's giving me this S**t!
It's frustrating because I've installed and uninstalled it probably around 5 times now hassle free and Yuri's Revenge was always working. It's almost like the disc decided to set something up in the background after a few uses. lol
