Hey,I am new to modding and heard the best modding tool for zero hour was TiBed 2.Unfornuately,I made a mod,but the AI wont work, they just sit there with neutral flags![disappointed] Also, this doesn't go with modding but,How do I change the border size in the worldbuilder? ***NOTE***This only happens when I launch the mod from TiBed,I can still play the original version normally. ***EDIT***I have someone helping me on the BORDER part, now I need some help with the MOD part.

See this section in the [url=http://www.cnclabs.com/maps/review-guidelines/#BoundaryLine]Reviewer Guidelines[/url] for how to change the border.

Um,in that tutoral there is no such thing as "Show Boundaries" in edit [-1] ...and my blue boundrie will not move even if I resize the map.[angry]

Hey thanks for pointing out that error. It's under "View" where you select what is showing on the map. If you push "Ctrl i" on your keyboard you should see the map boundary line, which will move when re-sizing the map. Using the Border tool you grab and hold the Orange Active border to match the Map Boundary line. If you've created other borders such as a blue one you can remove them by dragging them to the lower left.

Well I can see the boundrie now (not the border) but whenever I resize the map it just stays still,Im changing *Border Size* function. Is it something else[question]

When resizing you are only changing the map boundary line. The Border Tool changes the borders.

Okay,I get it now,I fixed the map boundary. The other problem is,now the border is stuck, and with the border TOOL I can only go up with the border.[skull]

Correct. The lower left corner is anchored together. If you have "map" you want to show toward the bottom or left side, resize using one of the anchor squares on the right side which will then add "map" to the left side. So that grid of nine squares are anchors where you want to hold the map while resizing. Map will be added to the opposite side. It may take several resizings until you get the map Boundary line where you want. Then use the Border Tool to adjust the border.

From what Im thinking (late at night, brains not workin right :ashamed: ) Your saying that if I put the border of the right side,it will flip over to the left, and If its on the left it will copy and move to the right. For some reason I cant understand anything anymore [sad]

You made it sound like you couldn't move the border to the left. This is because you can't move the left side because it is anchored to map Boundary line. So IF you need to reposition the map(border) more to the left, go to Resize Map, and use an Anchor Square (those nine boxes) on the Right side to hold the map as you add size to the map thereby adding map to the left side. As I said, you might need to make several "Resizings" to get the map boundary line where you want using the different anchor squares and resizing the map. Fix the border when you're done.

Zip up your map folder and check the box that says add attachment when writing a post or click Attach on one of your posts. I'd be happy to check it out.

Yeah!!!! I found my problem! All I have to do is make the border size smaller than the map itself and it auto-ajust!Because I was making the map like Ver t: 200 Hori:200 Border:400.I just need o change it to something like Vert: 300 Hori: 300 Border : 90

Well I think you might want to check out my copy. I resized to the map you were working with, which was 275 by 255 and made a border of ten. I also adjusted the Active border and removed all the extras you had.

Okay,I got it now,but can anyone help me on the mod part now?I have made a small mod that edits all units of General Tao (Nuke is my favorite Gen.) and makes them MUCH more capable of destroying and tearing through ANYTHING.

I'm afraid no one can help you, unless you tell them what you want help with. Is a weapon you made not working? Can you not figure out how to do something? Help us to help you.

I mean,I used TiBed and changed some things around (I think I changed some superweapon timers and Migs)Then I launched the mod,I can use the new units, but the AI doesn't build,I dont care if they build the new units or not,I just want them to have a fight with the new edited units to test their strengh and if they work.

My mistake, I didn't read the first post. The simple answer: Don't use TiBed. Only their support, or someone experienced with their program can help you with that. The problem you gave could be due to many issues. Most people use a big extractor (like FinalBIG) and then use notepad to modify the ini files.

Posted by: xXHUNTERXx - Sunday, August 30, 2009 10:33:01 AM
Well yes,but what would I put the mod in if I made one that was going to be offical?I have use finalybig once before, but my ero hour crashed because it modified the wrong folder.

Run FinalBIG & use it to open INIZH.big. Go into Edit->Extract All & go to your zero hour directory. That is normally here: C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour After you've extracted to the above folder, the extracted files will be here: C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour\Data\INI Or wherever your directory is.

Okay. Oh,and something else, does anyone know what program I would need to add a part of a gattling cannon to a mig, like, the barrels ontop of the mig?
