OK so i have gone through a bunch of tutorials and thought i was ready to make a map, cause i had something in mind. But now when ever i click on a tool the button on the top stays pushed in until i bring the cursor back on the map. please help

Hmm. How big did you make the map? What tool are your selecting? If you get an error popup always click ignore. These errors happen often when using a tool for the first time during a session.

This has happened to me just today. A few days ago I created and prototype single player map, I opened it today and i could move around the map with both mouse buttons and could not use any tools (except the menu style ones). I can't select any object, place any object or even paint textures or use the mound tools.
Can anyone help pls.
PS. my map is 350x350 and even tried creating a new one of the same size but the problem persisted.

Have you tried to repair WB by doing a reinstall?

I had a similar problem, I only saw the hand a pan tool and couldn't use the other tools. I fixed this by just restarting my PC and opening World Builder again.
