Just made my very 1st map. Played for 3 years, but could never make a map. Got help from the movie tutorials here, thx. & thx to Turret Wars Line for the previous help.
Sorry for the new topic, but thought this map looked so cool, it should have it's own topic. It's a 3 player skirmish map. I was China, & played GLA, & USA offline. It was AWESOME! Lots of battling in middle of map between the 3. I had no problems with it. Although in the game when selecting map, it says Missing before the map name. I don't know why. I wasn't missing anything. It had no lagg either. So let me know if yall like, maybe I'll make some more state, or country maps.

As much as the idea is impressive, the relatively - or should I say complete - lack of terrain features doesn't really make this map interesting enough to play on.

What might be cool is to get a topographical map of Texas and surrounding states and build up the mountain terrain for Texas and other areas. Add rivers and trees and vary the textures based on plains, hills etc. This could be a cool map. Just work on it a little more.

Wrong topic Turret, try not to hijack someone else's topic.
On a side note, you need to fix the mountainous regions on the bottom-right of your map.

Watch the hijacking, people. I've moved fatalswoop's post into a new topic. I would have liked to do the same to Turret Wars Line's post, but apparently it no longer exists.

This is a cool map so far. Did you say it was playable off-line? With comps?
I'd definitely give it a try but unfortunately my computer no longer runs Generals or any other game, and it's increasingly rare for my comp to uphold the browser long enough for me to write up a post.

Third ( I think your have the flag wrong)(inst the bottom Red not Orange?)

Then I will make it understandable
1. I said that that is a nice map for his first map.
2. I said that the map of Texas was well done and well scaled.
3. I said the flags colors are a bit wrong, might be textures though.
Example. Here is the Texas Flag, Compare

There is no red ground texture if I recall, orange-brown is the closest you can get.

Correct Krit.

You could improve your map by Mounding, adding some Miscs, some trees and filling the dark textures with some theme, a desert maybe? that's my favorite theme; it's quite obvious because I'm living in the Middle East. When your done, post a Pic on High Light Cool Screen shots, Show off your latest maps or my Show off your newest made maps.
