From the homepage: C&C Community Manager Aaron Kaufman informs us that the C&C 3 Tiberium Wars Worldbuilder has been released! Worldbuilder allows fans to create their own custom skirmish and multiplayer maps for C&C 3. » Download from Generals World » Download from EA Servers What are you waiting for, map makers? Start creating some maps! Generals World will begin hosting fan-created maps for C&C 3 sometime next week. If your map is good enough, you may even find it hosted on the Official C&C Site.

Just downloaded it, installed it, started it up, and it took me 5 minutes of extreme lag before it actually opened. Don't have time to fiddle around with it tonight but it appears to ahve the same basic layout as the Generals/Zero Hour Worldbuilder, with some extra features etc.

Just downloaded it, thanks for the direct Link. Um edit: Where do I put the exe.file? It said "can't find a copy of Tiberium Wars in your computer please install the game and try again."

I just installed it. As Lord_of_Chaos, I don't have time to mess around with it right now but it does look a little different. It looks pretty much like the BFME 2 Worldbuilder, but I did see some new buttons I haven't pressed yet. Not too much new with the editor from the looks of it so far, but SAGE itself has definitely changed alot since Generals and C&C 3 is completely different. Incia, you don't put it anywhere in particular, you just run the .exe. Did you install your copy of C&C 3 somewhere other than the default directory? This is the place I have mine installed: "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Command & Conquer 3".

Odd, I ran it from my desktop as well, and it installed pretty quickly. What language is your game in?

Do you have the latest patch (1.4)?
Do you have the latest patch (1.4)?
Yes I do =S Are there any other "direct" links, I could try downlaoding the exe somewhere else.

Did you install C&C 3 to the default location?

Incia, back up your save games and try a reinstall. After the reinstall, patch it, and if it doesn't work after that then I have no idea why it isn't working.

I can just make a folder to the desktop where I save the save files right? and then add them back? But how do I save the Skirmish awards among other stuff? EDIT: Reinstalled C&C 3 and now the Worldbuilder works, thanks guys.

Anyone know how to place tiberium?

Posted by: incia - Friday, April 20, 2007 2:37:57 PM
Anyone know how to place tiberium?
From Readme: [ ] Placed Tiberium fields with the Place Object Tool (P). Tiberium is located under ByNativeType > Neutral > MiscNatural; make sure to place Green and/or Blue fields.

Hey I have a question, I have built a crappy map, to test everything. But I can't get it to display when I go into skirmish mode. Question: Please describe every step what you need to do in order to play your map in the skirmish setting.

Posted by: incia - Saturday, April 21, 2007 5:16:26 AM
I made a test map myself also, didn't work first. But then I rezised the map, made the BORDER alot bigger so all the starting positions are inside the Border, and now it works in Skirmish. If you had read the readme file, it helps you get going...

I wouldn't dare to come Heer without reading the readmy file. Selfunderstanding, I made sure that the starting points where inside the map range.

Hi, this sounds stupid, but do you need the game to install Worldbuilder for C&C 3[question] I'd like to mess around with it to get the feeling of things, until I get a new computer with all the requirements (so I can finally play C&C 3, which cost $50[angry]). Please answer this VERY stupid question!

Posted by: Luckie - Sunday, April 29, 2007 7:18:30 PM
Yes, you need the game. It uses the game resource files which is why the Worldbuilder download is so small.

The only reason I went on here is because it seems like no one wants to tell me any thing when I post my own, so I came on here.

Yes, you will need C&C 3 for the assets. You could buy C&C 3 and then use world builder until you get a better PC, I guess.

you need more memory than min spec if you want to do anything more than lag, I have min spec and I just can't be bothered to wait for it to stop flashing 'windows virtual memory too low' and lag. luckerly I am getting some more memory at the weekend so my game won't keep crashing :D

I haven't seen anyone post with the same issues I am having. I have the WorldBuilder installed (that all went fine) ... but when I try to edit a map thru the MapManager, or fire it up directly, it doesn't load. I have reinstalled the worldbuilder several times, and it always does the same thing :( I have to bring up the task-manager to close it, and it always says .. "Program not responding" Any ideas or suggestions? Here's what I get.. everytime :( I just tried it again, and let it sit there for a good 15 minutes or so, just to see what it did on it's own.. and this is the error message I got (in text): ================================================================================ EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION: The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.
How much RAM do you have? World Builder can certainly take a long time to open - sometimes several minutes. I haven't seen anyone with that error message, though. You don't have DeeZire's Wall mod installed by any chance, do you?

One thing you could try perhaps is disabling any anti-virus programs you have running while attempting to launch World Builder. There's a chance this will make it load faster, and it might even get rid of that nasty error. Just a guess, though.
