Ok, I reinstalled Windows on my computer, and got all the drivers and whatnot. But there are no Icons on my desk top. Everythime i create a shortcus, it dosent go onto my desktop, instead it goes to a folder called "Desktop".

that folder is your desktop. you most likely have an option active which hides the icons. i'm using that myself so it doesn't ruin my background. i totally forget where you need to go to turn that off and on though, i just tried searching for it but couldn´t find it. i´ll edit this post if i do find it
edit: found out how to do it again. go to your desktop and press the right mouse button, there should then be some menu thing about icons and the option should be in there, my windows is in dutch so it´s a little bit hard to explain but it shouldn´t be hard to find.
