Is it just me - Or does it suck? Badly! I liked WMP10 a lot better.

I think its slightly improved. I wanted to burn WMP10 with boiling tar, poke it with pins, dip it in salt water, and shove acid down it's throat. Thats how much I hate WMP10. 11 is an improvement interface wise. I still use winamp, foobar, media player classic, and vlc player.
Hm, if anything, I see it as a down grade. And I found the interface to be worse. The only improvement I've seen in Version 11 is that it burns CDs faster.

The interface isn't worse. It no longer has the whole flickering window outline where it was cool skinned window until you needed the File menu. The interface is much, much cleaner. It also crashes on me far less.

I don't think WMP 11 is bad at all. I prefer it over the older versions because of the better interface, but that is pretty much it.
I never saw the point of WinAmp, I mean, I just don't see how it's better than WMP.

Winamp is smaller and while in the "small form" you still can see the Artist and the song name.
On WMP you have to Maximize it to see the artist and player.
Me neither, I wouldn't download WinAmp just for that.

Well if you listen to songs and need to know the name it's handy, and ecpecialy when you try to copy & paste the song name and artist to some friend online.
So it's a pain to maximize the player all the time.
Even the Music "trackline" can only be seen when maximized.
I like to go to the best parts fast sometimes and on the trackline can just klick me there.

[/quote]Moving your mouse over the area isn't that much of a pain, plus, I usually know the artist and song name before I even open a track. It is nice to know what you are going to listen to before you play a song...

"Moving your mouse over the area isn't that much of a pain"
Exactly my point.
But Maximazing the player, seeing the huge "graphik screen" that lags bad computers, then moving your mouse over the area and click. Then Minimize it again.
I think my opponent on Generals would already kicked my ass by then.

Winamp has a lot more functionality than windows media player. Tons. Lossless audio formats, arcane audio formats, arcane video formats, plugins galore, equalizing that doesn't suck, a non-intrusive interface, and the list goes on.
For example - I load up an mp3, it reads the ID3 tag - find the genre, sets my equalizer to the setting to fit the song, pulses the three sets of colored LED lights on my laptop to beat with the music, and allows me to control my music from within counterstrike with my media buttons on my laptop case. When I go to bed at night, I set my winamp alarm clock and I get woken up in the morning by "Don't Worry, Be Happy".
Thats why winamp is so awesome.
