I am pretty sure it is determined by the range of the unit's weapon.
I am pretty sure it is determined by the range of the unit's weapon.
It is. And to increace the range of the weapon, I think you need to mess with the .ini files for it. but I dunno.

No, the guard radius is actually controlled by the unit's VisionRange value, plus a multiplier in \Default\AIData.ini.

I was going to say that even though I increase the range of a given weapon system, it appears to have no effect upon the delivery vehicles guard radius. Thanks for the info CommieDog, I will check it out.[smile]

Hey CommieDog, I made an increase ajustment to a specific units "VisionRange" with no apparent effect on the units "Guard Radius"........what is the name of the "multiplier" I'm looking for in "\Default\AIData.ini." and what type of ajustment do I need to make to the value?? or is the value in the afor metioned file not applicable to a unit controled by me??? thanks

The multiplier I was referring to affects all units, so you probably shouldn't touch it if you want to increase the guard radius for one unit.

Can I create a clone of some sort that would only affect units that refer to it??..........In any case, I'd still like to know what the mutiplier is called and what sort of ajustment I need to make (knowing of course that it will affect all units). thanks [smile]

The tag is called GuardOuterModifierHuman=, and there is no way to clone it to affect certain units. Also note that it will not affect the guard cursor radius.

botmas your problem could be that you are not extracting your inizh files but only saving them. then, any changes take no effect.
