I was playing a game called KKND the other day. And I found some unique features in it. I also noticed how "relaxing" the game system was and started to think why it was that way. Well I found some answers. (Though, not sure if these changes will make Generals more interesting, it's after all a different kind of strategy game.) Edit to the original game: Delete basic air-power. Delete artillery units. Delete PUC, SCUD Storm and Nuke. Defence Structures cost more. Health boost for all normal Infantry. Also: Edit or delete Air-General, Tank-General and SW-General.

You've pretty much described Tiberian Dawn.

In TD you had Orcas, ION Cannons, Nukes, Artillery, MRLS and all the infantry died too easily.

The infantry were pretty strong, and the other units you mentioned were more novelty units I think.

The infantry were very weak in TD. Since they had very short range and assembled in clusters of 5 per square, it was very easy to just have tanks squish them all. They were priced more fairly, though.

KKND rocked, wasn't a big fan of number 2 though, didn't really it that much but I much preferred the first one, kinda really funny to think back to it though, with the intro FMV with the tank had the same graphics as something like Quake 4 now. Their resources using Oil was also a bit more realistic than just creates.

I remember that the Flamethrower Infantries in TD didn't have any fire resist at all. When used in groups they just killed each other. Funny to watch though. Jay I agree with you there, I never liked KKND 2 either. I prefer the first one alot. But anyways, how would Generals be without Artillery and air support? Well you would still keep the Generals Points abilities, of course. (Artillery barrage, MOAB, A-10 Support Aircraft etc.)

What's KKND? Sorry for going off topic but I am really curious to what that stands for.

KKND stand for "Krush Kill 'N' Destroy". Google after KKND and you will find lots of information.
