I made this mod for Zero Hour awhile & am about to upload it for all the play. What it does is just switches the Zero Hour campaign with the original Generals one's. I've modified each map to work with Zero Hour & added a little spice to some of them. It's not supposed to affect multiplayer but when I play someone online, a mismatch occurs in the middle of it.
The mod probably isn't error free so I'd like people to test it & also see if that mismatch occurs. With the mod in a ZIP folder, it's 6 MB, to big to upload in a post, but can be sent over email. Just click the little email button at the top of this post to request the mod, or send me a pm with your email address to avoid spam.
For the mod to take affect, all you do is take the file & put it in your Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data folder (usually located in My Documents) & use the shortcut that comes with it & the game will load with with the mod. You can always use your original shortcut to play the game normally.

Andwhat has aggreed to test the mod.

Sounds fun, there are a few situations in the Generals wich you can do on a lot better way with ZH tech.

Well I forgot to mention this, but I took out all the new stuff added in Zero Hour for these maps. In some cases, it would make the game easier.

randomperson:
I could, but then there's the pain of switching the CD's. I know, that's hardly a reason, but I've also, as I've said, spiced up the maps. Added some humor here & there, removed the shortcuts in each of the first campaign missions, made the scenery better, & adjusted the game play. It was mostly something to have fun with on road trips with no internet.
Ground Demon:
I'll send it to this site. I'll post a link in this topic on precisely where it is if it's accepted.

Okay, I think I found out the reason for the mismatch online. It had to do with the tow missile. When a player purchased it, that would cause the mismatch. The problem was with the Map.ini file for the shell map. I made the upgrade so that the tow missile could be purchase with no waiting time. This way, the humvees on the map would have the tow missile from game start. Somehow, this little modification leaked into the entire game! I have had this trouble like this before modifying build & wait times in Map.ini files.
So when playing online, on my computer when someone would buy the tow missile, it would show immediately on my computer, but not on the other guys computer. That's what caused the mismatch. Shew! I'm glad I got that taken care of!
Andwhat, I made a modification to the last China mission because it seems to hard! Originally, the scud launcher launches it's missiles when the timer expires & the players money is above $5000. I changed it to just launch when the timer expires. So after I sent it to you, I decided to make the scud launcher timer last longer & to be auto revealed so that you can see where it is. I'll send you the latested version if you want. Once you give me your test results, I'll go ahead & send to Cncgeneralsworld!
Okay,
THis is Andwhat. My original handle, andwhat, for some reason, no longer works on this site. So, I made this name. Now, on to the discussion.
I have completed 4 campaigns thus far on "medium". The only glitch problem I found thus far was at the very beginning of campaign one when the helicopters first fly over the mountains. The mountains start flashing invisible then visible then invisible, etc.
A few comments:
I like the campaigns so far, but, some parts are too easy...even on medium. For example, I think it is the third campaign when the dam breaks. It is entirely too easy to take out the scud storm. As soon as I get the chance to build my auxiliary base on the other side of the dam, I just launch my A-10 level 2 air strike, which knocks out the scud storm being built.
The first couple of campaigns are pretty easy if you just bum-rush the comp with what you have been already given. THen, just spam what you can and you will easily win.
Despite my critiques, these campaigns are great thus far. I really like your "Matrix" addition to the game. Cute.
More later, but not for a while as I am traveling half-way around the world on vacation for the next week. Until then...

Which mission are you referring too? The first USA mission? I just tried it & the mountains were fine.

Okay. I finished the USA campaign on Medium. I noticed that during the last campaign, I would have units in their base, yet, the quads, rocket infantry, etc. of the GLA wouldn't attack me even though I was right next to them. Besides that, it was great!
