Whenever I place a waypoint loop for a train or a plane flying around the map it works for a little while but then after I edit the map a couple more times the waypoint paths disappear and the units or trains following them stop working. What's the deal?

Have you exceeded your waypoint allotment? You only get maybe 2000 or 3000 or something (I forget exactly) and then you can't place anymore.

Its easy to delete them when trying to delete trees or other objects. If it turns out thats what you did then next time make then un-selectable once you are done placing them.

I'm sure you've seen that you can choose what items are selectable by going to Edit/Pick Constraint. Makes it easier to grab what you want.

[disappointed] I hate it when that happens to me! What you just need to do is exit the World Builder & reload your map when you see that occur. If you've saved your map since, & haven't been working on any other maps too, then you can load up the auto saved file. It's located in the (My) Documents\Command & Conquer Generals (Zero Hour) Data\WorldBuilderAutoSave(1)(2)(3). Put the first saved file there into a new folder with the same name & then put that folder into the Maps folder. You should then be able to see the saved map in the World Builder. So in the end, you should have one of the auto saved files in a folder with it's same name, that should be in the Maps folder, that is in the Command & Conquer Generals (Zero Hour) Data folder which is located in the (My) Documents folder. If one of those saved files isn't the one you need, you'll just need to reconnect all with waypoints again.

Yeah, You work for hours on something and then with some mistake it's all lost. Autosave has saved me many times. I'm writing scripts on a plain map and saving each section as I get it done. It's not worth loosing your work and redoing it and besides, loading and working on your scripts in smaller batches and on a blank map goes mush faster. Plus it keeps the main map from getting messed up.

I have a similar problem, the waypoints didn't disapear but their names (and path lables in red) have. It started when I oppenned a map and the names went slightly up& to the right of the waypoint (Gap increases as you zoom out) and then about a month later I openned a new map and the names dissapeared completely. So basicly now all I can see are the green squares with the circle around it, it isn't really a big problem but I'd like to know how to fixe it. (I've already tried a reinstall, haven't tried deleting the my documents\data folders however.)
haven't tried deleting the my documents\data folders however.
Well that would've fixed it. But specifically the WorldBuilder.ini file. But all you really need to do is check, Show Labels from the View menu.
