I was wondering how a game could start without any credits. What could cause this? This is with regards to the topic AI not working on my map. Looking at the image he uploaded, he has no cash and I'm sure that would keep AI from building. Any ideas?

You can change the cash options in an INI... scratching my head at what INI file that is, but I've seen it and you can list the options that appear in that drop down menu... You can also affect the default amount and I THINK that part is in the AIData.ini file. As for the topic you are referring too, assuming he is not leaving anything out, then his should not start like that... which is why I think he has modded files, but he insists he does not. Correction - GameData.ini <-- thats where the default starting cash is, but I can't think of where I found the other, I'm sure Pi knows though.

SO, really it's a mod or a game error that could cause this? Could it be related to default AI not loading at game start? Maybe a reinstallation of the game is in order. Who knows. It's hard to help someone without feedback.

yea no kidding about the feedback... I don't know of a way to start with no cash other than editing INI files... maybe he HAD a mod but isnt running it anymore and it didn't uninstall correctly. I suppose only he can tell us.

I've played on a modification that gives unlimited money. How it works is that when you buy something, the cost of it is added to the the money count in negative. So even though the money keeps going lower & lower below zero, this then allows the player to build, built, build, & build. But the AI is dumb & doesn't know that it can build anything with the cash so low at game start.

Well you probably didn't need to delete that. You could've just posted a new topic about it. Also, to delete a reply, click on the Delete Reply button at the top of each post. (It looks like a paper with a trash can in front of it.)
