Hiya. I was given C&C Generals many years ago as part of a set. Recently I discovered my old disk in the back of a closet and started playing again.
It really is a great game and I want to try modding it. I've figured out and successfully swapped music files so I think I'm on the right track (thanks to this forum). But I've been looking around the forums and I don't know where I'm supposed to put a mod for other people to try? Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask but I don't know where I should.

You can host a mod here [sic].
Or you can host it yourself in Moddb.
I don't know any other site that isn't dead hosts G:ZH Mods on the regular.
