I would like to submit this post because I am in dire and looking for mods developers for Command and Conquer Zero Hour to add some specific concepts in the game.
Basically, I want to add a new faction. For example, GLA, USA and China and the newest faction GUATEMALA.
We will make a Guatemala army, military, artillery, tanks, buildings.
We take out some object units from USA (since majority of the military resources are from USA origin) or other Faction, we use it in GUATEMALA faction. We rename it however we want (for example, AmericanHumvee will be changed to GTHumvee), we will also change the DP of the said vehicle.
We will put a Spanish Language in the game.
We will put some Guatemalan voice sounds when we click the buildings, armies and so on. Basically we will edit it.
There will be some specific resources that are not available maybe. But we can use the infantry and change it in some specific position. We change and edit its scripts health, damage and defense.
We will change some sound BGM. And the intro image (COMMAND and CONQUER: GENERALS ZERO HOUR to COMMAND AND CONQUER: GUATEMALA EDITION) for example.
We will also make MAPS and AI for Skirmishes using World Builder.

I can add factions to the game. But just the faction's skeleton (Faction Information, Controlbar, skirmish info etc.). Usually, I just duplicate existing units powers and structures for them.

I have a question. Can anyone tell me how can I see the W3D models in Gmax along with their textures or it isn't possible?
I'm trying to make a texture for Mig's rubble model but i don't how to do this. I have installed Gmax along with its plugins such as renegade mod tool and w3d importer. I manged to import hte model but i don't know how to view it with its texture.
Plz Help!

but heres the answer ... all the textures are stored in texture.big (from generals) and textureszh.big (from zh)
using the material navigator on tool tab (top right corner) ... you can see what textured used in the specific model you are working on ...
once you know what texture name used it
find it on the bigs i said and then
use the assetbrowser tool
and drag the texture you extracted from the big
