Hi all! So.. I hacked the worldbuilder years ago with some hex editor but never actually released the result. I guess it is time to make this file public. Link: https://generalscentral.com/world-builder/tools/enhanced-worldbuilder/ It's an edited version of the wordlbuilder.exe, removing the warning start-up message, improving dozens of things e.G. the resolution of the scripting winhdow, enabling some sercet/hidden menus and also instuctions added to several sub menus. Have fun! Just replace your current worldbuild.exe with this file and enjoy! It's for zero hour, I don't think it throws errors when used correctly.
Thanks it looks better somehow ! I think I'll use it.
It looks better because I have improved the layout of all the menus. Here is a comparison of the scripting window: As you can see preview area of the code is now 2x as large.
enabling some secret/hidden menus
Do you remember what they were?

enabling some secret/hidden menus
Do you remember what they were?
Check the team menu (Common Object Properties) but it is unusable xD Another thing is the initial health of buildings in a build list. If you double click an entry in the build list you can now set the inital health after the building has been finished. Incredibly useless but it works xD There also was a hidden option in the Object Properties window where you could scale objects. Unfortunately it also had no effect. The biggest advantage of the edited worldbuilder is the improved scripting window. It is a lot more user-friendly by increasing the readability greatly.

Really nice, will definitely use this for in the future. Now if only it came with a way of moving those build list ghost buildings by cursor instead of hoping to land it perfectly. Not to mention some items in the build list are in the wrong sections as well, really shows you how rushed some of these features were.

Awesome tool. Is there anyway you could remove the 3000 object limit warning? Or at least increase the object limit?

Just to make our PM conversation public, as this might help others:
Awesome tool. Is there anyway you could remove the 3000 object limit warning? Or at least increase the object limit?
Hello there, I have actually taken a look into this just now. I can remove the message but the popup will still show.. but without the text. I can't remove the popup as it is not a strict worldbuilder-internal menu but instead it is an official windows warning popup message triggered by the worldbuilder and executed by windows. I can't edit the part of the worldbuilder that is scripted to trigger this popup message as this part is compiled into an .exe and almost impossible to edit. Give me the source code of the worldbuilder and I can fix it for you ;) However, there are 2 possible workarounds for your issue. Workaround 1: You could duplicate your map. Use one version only for trees and stuff and the other version for everything else. When you are done with your map open the tree version in worldbuilder, select all trees, copy them to clipboard, open the other version and paste the trees. You could also use multiple tree versions if you have more than 3000 trees. Workaround 2: Use your keyboard macro software or any free macro software to create a macro that constantly spams the Return key. Enable this macro when you are placing objects. This will confirm the warning message before it even pops up. Disable the macro when you are done placing objects.

i^love^mixery, I copied this topic to my website about AOD Maps and I put this topic link too. I wanted to share with map makers if you don’t mind. It’s under Hints tag in pashacnc.com. This is the link http://pashacnc.com/Hints/Hint_2/Hint_2.html Pasha

Map Makers may like to work on bigger size windows with Worldbuilder. You have to edit worldbuilder.ini file in "..My Documents/Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data" folder and modify Width=1024 and Height=768 default values depending on your screen size. I made 1200x900 (i use 16:10 screen) and life became easier for me. Pasha ;)
.btw when i am trying to get script get done ... the [ok] button is not reachable by my pc screen it must be fixed also with the ok button of the export script screen ...
For these you can use the enter (ok) and esc (cancel) buttons. I have this problem with the original worldbuilder on my laptop.

If the buttons from World Builder hide behind the Task Bar, you can change the Task Bar's settings so it hides automatically.

Sorry for the very late reply, I didn't see the question earlier.
@i love mixery .. Can you fixed the selectable and make unselectable feature as intended like vanilla generals? ..
Can you be more specific?
btw when i am trying to get script get done ... the [ok] button is not reachable by my pc screen it must be fixed also with the ok button of the export script screen ...
If you have a very low screen resolution this might happen. A screenshot would be nice. But tbh I don't think you will need this updated worldbuilder. The main purpose of it is to increase resolution of the scripting window. So it doesn't make much sense to use it if you have a very low screen resolution.
Ey Mate is it possible to make waypointmarkers/lines using different color.. If it is ...show me the parameters that I need to change.. Thanks
It isn't. That's super hard coded into the .exe I can only edit the worldbuilder menus, as those haven't been compressed/encrypted by EA. Did you know that you can select an entire waypoint path by holding down CTRL before clicking on a waypoint of that path? Maybe that could help you.
