So i have been working on the new application for some time now and it is almost finished, have to finish some code for resizing and the menubar, doing some debugging and cleaning up atm.
Here is a pic:

You set a texture/project name and then you can add a placeholder to the canvas, you can apply a texture bij rightclicking the placeholder, there are 2 default sizes for the placeholders, 120x96 and 60x48, you can change the size when the placeholder is added to the canvas.
If you add a 120x96 image you can only make it smaller and back to the original 120x96 size, same goes for the 60x48 image.
You can download an image from the net and apply it to a placeholder, it will be auto resized to fit the placeholder.
At this moment only .png files are supported, still figuring out how to import and export .tga and .dds files, a bit more complicated then i thought initially, i found some good stuff but i would have to change the whole setup of the app so it will come later.
All feedback is welcome, if you have ideas for more stuff then let me know...
Greetz
*Edit
Transparent textures are also possible now, main background texture can be made transparent also so it is possible now to create a spritesheet with textures for 2d animations.

I thanked the post as it is announcing the upcoming release of a useful piece of software. It matters not, to me, who posted. I am entirely capable of recognising one's merit while, at the same time, being unhappy with their conduct.
The thank button should not be used, as the like button on facebook is used. I use it only to thank genuinely useful posts.

Freeware conversion software should work as a temporary substitute.

There is a big difference in making a mess and trying to make some fun, where I come from we make a sport of it to make fun of eachother, the important lesson is to not take life and especially yourself too serious...[grin]
I have to finish a few more things and then I will release the app, I think in about 1 or 2 weeks.
Already figured out how to make an executable from a jar file and have to try to make an installer for the app also, never did that, im not an ace programmer, im a big noob who spends a lot of time on figuring sjit out...:P
At the moment im working on the resizing code for the cameo when it is already placed on the canvas...
I´ll keep you guys posted.
If you all would do me a favor btw, please give the system and operating systems you use so I can try to make it work on multiple platforms...
I have windows 7 64 bit so it works on my pc, I read that it can give problems on windows 10 but im not sure though...

Welp. Time to go back to Paint.NET

There's no need. Just upload an executable (and other required files) in a zip. We can extract it to wherever we want and run it from there. The same way we use finalbig.

I tested the app on windows 10 past weekend and it worked like a charm...
Almost done now, some save and read project to/from file stuff and a little tutorial and the app is done...

Some Question in The Cameo Studio:
Question1:is the app make the picture's name to change like we do in CameoName in Cameo Studio?
or We had To Change The Name Manually?
Question2:So We will Copy The Texture one (In The Texture Folder) Not The Picture Right (In Picture Folder? Then Covert it to Tga Right ?
Question3:Is this Supposed to happen?
look At The InI ((There Was No Name In The Texture?
MappedImage ScoutRanger_L
Texture = .tga
TextureWidth = 512
TextureHeight = 512
Coords = Left:7 Top:4 Right:127 Bottom:100
Status = NONE
End
In the app you create new cameos with unique names, you have to enter a project name which is the texture name.
If you have generated a new texture in the app it is saved in the projects folder in a folder with the texturename, load that texture in paint.net and convert it to .tga.

If im not mistaking there is a check for the texturename when you extract the ini file, I think you have deleted the texturename before you extracted, I will check the code 2nite, not at home atm.

Well i checked the code...
If you enter a project name and use the apply button the name is stored in a variable, so if you remove the project name and export to .ini the texture name is added, if you remove the texture name and use the apply button you get an error message.
Can you explain what you did when that ini file was generated?
