Does anyone know of a simple and/or easy way to remove the 'Single Player' and 'Multiplayer' Options and add 'Skirmish' and 'LAN' options to the main menu in place of them?
Although most of my mods don't conflict with the single player campaigns at least one of my ideas will. Also since online play is no longer supported (unless you find a work around) it wouldn't hurt to remove multiplayer and just change it to LAN.

the multiplayer side does work in windows 10, just that the host-er has to put the ports on to router or go DMZ mode in their router. DMZ is not the recomended method and will need to be put back to Normal mode after the Game is shut down

That doesn't answer my question or tell me anything I didn't already know
My question is about changing the menu not about the functionality of multiplayer.

Well, It may have taken a while but I have worked out how to change the menus.
You have to modify MainMenu.wnd.
Find the button you want to change and replace the NAME. You should also change the TOOLTIPTEXT and TEXT values.
Then go to WindowTransitions.ini and replace them there too.

Also, CommieDog made a mod for putting skirmish on the main menu:

Then why couldn't anyone answer my original question then?

I guess the people who knew the answer just didn't see it or something.
Also, you don't need to remove the multiplayer function. Online still works if you hook it up to fan servers I believe but it's a complicated setup.

I'm well aware. However I never play multiplayer and I'm often testing mods (which wouldn't work online anyway) so this is good enough for me.

this thread made me think about long ago desired wish - is there a way to make "fast skirmish"?(via editing menu or any other way) for example for game to start not on main but already on Skirmish menu.

@klingondragon that could be great, but there is one problem -i mostly play not original ZH, but mod Rise of the Reds. if you know it and can make such modification for it - much appreciated.!
btw, one should mention here that this mod(link above) doesn't work with any mods(which is kinda logical), but more to it - it just brakes your game! i thought "what can happen. i'll just delete files if something", but after trying to run RotR with this mod, i got whole game texts corrupted, even after i deleted mod files. =(

I don't know rotr and my menu mods would only work if they don't change the same files I did.

I can't make the mod. Not sure what's wrong with it. It loads up the skirmish menu on start up and that works fine. You can also play a game. The problem is the back button. It goes nowhere. I tried making it go to the main menu and even unjust exit the game but that failed. In the end I had to keep closing the game with task manager.
