I had some ideas for my mod, Generals:Domination, and I'd like to know what ya'll think about them and whether they'd work in the game. So here we go...
====== USA Airforce General, Granger
-- Starts with Bunker Busters
-- Can build A-10 Thunderbolt aircraft for $1000, but only with a Strategy Center. These units reload their ammo at the airfield and thus only 4 can be made per airfield
-- Combat Chinook does not require a War Factory and can be created at both the Supply Center and Airfield
-- Chinooks can be built at the Airfield, too.
-- Can build a single, Controllable Specter Gunship at the airfield, which does not need to reload its ammo there, and is a Hero Unit on the radar. Costs $1500 and requires a Strategy Center
-- Humvees use the weaker GLA RPG Trooper weapon for their TOW Missile
-- Sentry Drone Gun gives Sentry Drones the weak GLA Technical machine gun
====== Vanilla USA
-- Pathfinder's weapon deals half the damage as before, making them a little less overpowered against infantry and requiring them to shoot them twice before they kill them
====== Vanilla GLA
-- Heavy Machine Gun upgrade: Costs $600 and replaces the [i]pathetic[/i] Technical machine gun with that of the Tunnel Network's machine gun
====== GLA Stealth General, Prince Kassad
-- Terrorists are stealthed while not moving
-- Jarmen Kell can snipe vehicle pilots more rapidly and can kill infantry that are garrisoned in buildings, he also detects stealthed units
-- Technicals start stealthed
-- Can train Snipers. They are identical to USA Pathfinders except that they reveal themselves when attacking, and can upgraded with AP Bullets to kill infantry instantly
-- Quad Cannons start stealthed
-- Radar Vans are always stealthed
-- Tunnel Network uses the Rebel's weapon
====== GLA Demolitions General, Juhziz
-- Battle Bus creates a standard Demo Trap when destroyed during its second life
-- Bomb Trucks are as fast as a Humvee
-- Most vehicles eject a Terrorist when destroyed
-- Fragmentary Round upgrade: Costs $1000 and is bought at the Palace. This gives all bullet weapons an awesome orange pulse tracer and causes the shots to explode on impact, inflicting radius damage.
-- Toxin Tractor is replaced with Terrorist Tractor. It attacks by spawning several small, uncontrollable Terrorists that deal the same damage as a standard GLA version and will live for up to 10 seconds if they don't attack.

All looks cool.
But I think the fragmentary upgrade will take some time.

Most likely. I've had trouble getting Precision_Bomber's Pulse Rifle weapon to attack aircraft, too. It just refuses to do it!
Maybe you can make some these happen while you're working on your turn for the mod development? [wink]

It all sounds pretty good, although I'm wondering if the Heavy Machine Gun upgrade is for ALL GLA or just the vanilla?

That sounds like it would make the other Technicals a little too powerful. I think the vanilla factions should have a few things none of the sub-factions (named generals) don't have. A more powerful Technical for example, I don't think would be great for all the GLA guys. I mean, for Kassad, a STEALTHED Technical with the weapon from a Tunnel Network is kind of overpowered. A stealthed Technical to me would be better for sneaking Workers across the map or those "Tech Terror" rushes.
