Its a it's a long and complicated process others involves putting them in a big file then finding a program that works with cnc. That will overnight the main bags with your mod

If you've packed all your files into a BIG file then all you have to do is move that file in or out of the Generals or ZH directory.

Didn't know thought I had to use mod0 I guess that it is only used for a big file outside of the directory
If you've packed all your files into a BIG file then all you have to do is move that file in or out of the Generals or ZH directory.
Maybe you could make a copy of the 'Command & Conquer(tm) Generals Zero Hour' folder, give it your mod name, open the folder, create a shortcut to the .exe, put the shortcut on your desktop, rename it and have fun.

Putting the mod in the directory has no affect I was poking around this site and foun a list of things you put on the end of the shortcut to alter the game I use -quickstart to skip the opening movie At the bottom it has one which looks like it should let you have a shortcut to open the moded version of the game It looks like Il have to copy the game folder and have the mod there I would like to get the shortcut method working if anyone knows how to do it

Put the .big file in Program Files folder where the other .bigs are

Big files are prioritised in alphabetical order, so putting mod.big in your directly will do nothing because it's lower priority than INIZH.big, but 0mod.big will work.

I don't want the mod to take control. If I'm not using the shortcut to open it Would the mod take control if I named it 0mod.big Or would it take control only if I pointed to it with a shortcut

to use your mod via a special icon, the mod has to be in your data folder in My Documents. i forgot what you add to the icon's target line though, i think its just -mod

works great thank you for the record: put the big file in : MyDocuments\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data and make a shortcut pointing to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour\generals.exe" -mod modname.BIG
