some weeks ago i asked for help when most of my map where not in game and i got nice answers and i solved my problem. now i have a new problem i size the orange border then i make my map inside it then when i went to test the map i found that the map edges appear black(they are in the border) but i can see the buildings their and i can build there and i can capture buildings there but it is black and i can't see the water or the land there only black area and it is in the orange border!!! a Photo to explain: [IMG]http://i58.tinypic.com/o9eq8m.jpg[/IMG] i hope you give me a solution to this i want to make excellent maps. waiting for reply. regards.

You could just delete the objects showing up inside of the black or move them inside. This is pretty strange, I've NEVER seen this kind of problem before... Except in a map where the borders change at a few points... Do you have any borders outside of the normal orange one?

no i don't have any other borders i have only the normal orange border.

Think before you start your map and make a plan on paper, it sucks if your map is too small for your ideas after 20 hours of work. Greetz and have fun.

actualyy all my map is in the orange border but i don't know why is this happenning look here 's my map size horz: 350 vert: 350 Border Size= 90 initial height= 8 Is This fine or there's a problem in these sizes and i want to make a 450*450 map so what is the border size should i use?

[/quote] wait i think i got you mean that the sizes i choose is in the orange border which means that the 450450 map is actually the size of the orange border it self and the border selection in the sizing bar is the size of the area outside the orange border that i can use for reforcments or any other thing i think you are right i started a new map of 450450 and used the program ruler to measure the distance between 2 points in the border (without resizing the border] and i found that it is really 450*450 as i selected which means when i start a new map with some measures i shouldn't resize the orange border at all i just leave it and start making my inside it and this will be a complete 450/45 playable map with no black area or any things that is not even in the map now i know the use of the orange border it is to show where to make your map only so you on't make anything outside it and the you don't find in the game. well thank you for your help i kept reading your reply very well untill i got it and mesured the distance and found what i want thant ks man you are great :)
