So in the past few days, I'me trying to modify CWC. Simple stuff like modifying some INI's and that's it. Problem is that whenever I change a value of something, it doesn't work in the game. Let's say like the US Small Fuel Depot, tried changing it to EnergyProduction = 100, but it doesn't give me 100 fuel in the game. What I do is move the INI file to the INI folder under data. That's what I'm doing in RotR and it works, but not for CWC(For some reason, it doesn't save on the big file; however in SHW, it saves on the big file). CWC has multiple copies of some INIs like the M1A1 MBT, it's like on 3~4 different CWC files. I don't know what's the "real" INI so when I edit it, the values that I changed will be also changed in the game. Anyone here knows how to?

CWC uses a system where they never remove the old files when they give you a new update. So the old files still exist, but the game ignores them. It's actually a brilliant design to avoid excessive downloads during updates, but doesn't make it easy to edit the mod. The new files will have the lower numbers. This means if you wish to mod the game properly, you need to either extract every single file in reverse 'alphabetical' order so that you have only the newest files, or find the newest file by searching through the big files again in reverse alphabetical order.

Can someone please tell me what in the world are CWC and M1A1 MBT? Also, "US Small Fuel Depot"? I've NEVER heard of that Unit or Building in Generals or Zero Hour... You two seem to be speaking a completely foreign language or something. XD

CWC is the Cold War Crisis mod, M1A1 Main Battle Tank is usually known as the M1A1 Abrams, and the fuel depot is probably a building in the CWC mod.

It is a brilliantly designed mod. I think anyone who doesn't give it a shot is depriving themselves of a lot of fun.
