So I am attempting to make a civilian PT Boat follow a waypoint path along a beach. It is starting behind the border where it cannot be seen, and upon issuing a command for it to follow the waypoint path it will move to the path and circle around a single waypoint in the path. How do I resolve this?

How do I resolve this?[/quote] Did you make sure to name the path, and the boat and to connect the waypoint path in a complete circuit, and did you put the script in the correct player folder. If it's a civilian PT boat and the script for moving it is in neutral or some other player folder, it won't work. Thankyou for the tips, but yes i have done all of those things. And thankyou also for the links, they may prove to be useful in my future scripting attempts. But alas, after some tinkering about I have figured out the problem... That PT Boat is just too darn picky about how wide the waypoint pathway loop is! Too narrow and itll do just as I stated above...float around in circles. It need room to maneuver, for lack of a better word. I would be glad to let you see the map, but Id rather not post it on here just yet. Ive spent a month just building it with the terrain and objects and am just now beginning to script, so at least not until its halfway finished so people can have a decent time checking it out.

[grin] So now that it has I don't need to see it. [wink]
