Hi there
I’ve got a legal version of red alert 3, installed from DVD (I.e. not steam).
I installed the 1.1 version of The Red Alert through Desura, some time ago (last year), then noticed the 1.2 update today!
However, even having uninstalled then tried to re-install (via Desura), it appears only v1.1 is available.
I wasn’t able to find a version number in-game but presumed it’s 1.1, since if you check the Desura "fixed launch options", they point to "config.txt" in user/documents/red alert 3/mods/theredalert folder. The txt file contains "add-config TheRedAlert_1.1.SkuDef". Finally, I've not been able to find anything / any files implying v1.2 either.
I’ve tried running the 1.2 patch but it reports that the game’s not installed.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Gary

I don't have Desura and we don't post to them (they mirror on their own sometimes, I think). Why don't you try getting it from moddb or the labs site?
