Do you have the script in neutral or civilian?
also, do you mean unmanned or unnamed?
Posted by: bouggy - Thursday, March 10, 2011 5:49:27 AM
i tried it in the both team (neutral/civilian) and the same result...i mean unnamed
Posted by: yurdeath2010 - Thursday, March 10, 2011 6:16:58 AM
alright, unnamed means to create a unit without a name. In which it sounds like it did correctly. If you want to capture them, you have to make them unMANNED. What you need to do is just place the comanches , not with a script, but just place them. Then use your object properties window to name them. Then you will need to find the following script in the civilian folder.
unit>status>make unmanned.
Make Unit??? unmanned
If anyone could tell me how to post a picture here, I will post one to show you what it must look like.
Edit: never mind, got the picture, but an easier way than my method would be nice.

Then I need more information about what you have done. The picture above is what it should look like. a picture or map file would help.

The picture you posted here doesn't show me what you have done. I see the comanche is still flying, but I need to see what you have done. post a picture of your scripts.
Posted by: bouggy - Thursday, March 10, 2011 7:26:48 AM
click on the button: commanche2.jpg and open it and see the scripting
Posted by: yurdeath2010 - Thursday, March 10, 2011 7:32:46 AM
sorry, didn't see that before. It's blue in worldbuilder, which suggests that it belongs to an american team. make sure in the object properties that it belongs to team civilian. Also, make sure all the choppers have a different name. It wont work if there are 2 units with the same name.
also, I just noticed, you have some scripts in neutral. Sometimes putting scripts there can void out all your scripts. You might need to put them in civilian too. I'm not sure if that will fix the problem but at this point, I've told you everything I can think of.
Posted by: bouggy - Thursday, March 10, 2011 7:36:15 AM
the other choppers i puted them for civilian team...with unmanned script and still don't work...so i tried to put the in america team...i think that i should put this choppers in the CombatZone area ?
Posted by: yurdeath2010 - Thursday, March 10, 2011 7:44:45 AM
eh, where the chopper is wont matter, most of my maps don't even have a CombatZone and work just fine. Can you expand all your scripts so I can see what you have in the neutral folder? Sometimes putting scripts there can void out all your scripts. You might need to put them in civilian too. I'm not sure if that will fix the problem but at this point, I've told you everything I can think of.

maybe they just can't land even unmaned due to the game itself
try make a ground unit unmaned and see if you're doing it rigth
due to the game itself
not sure what you mean but I have made helicopters land by unmanning them in several of my maps before. I will post a pic of one, gimme a sec.

just noticed, this copper did belong to the air force general and I have the scripts in civilian. btw, I did not create this map, I only edited it and added stuff to it, but I did that chopper.

Generals have its "rules" made by the one who made game physics, so it has limits and some of them may need modding to change

To have a Comanche on the ground you Un-check the box the says "Enabled" on the Object Properties window. "Powered" will keep rotors turning, un-checking powered will stop rotors. This works fine for static units for display but if wanting to capture these unit for use, I'm not aware of a script that will "Enable" the unit, so though you have captured it, it's on the ground. I would suggest adding scripts stating if unitX has been captured by player0, delete unitx and spawn a new unit in its place belonging to PlyrCivilian and transfer the unit to player0.

I don't really think all that is necessary, I have done exactly what he is trying to do several times before. and it works just as it is shown in the pictures.
I would get in-game pics but I don't know where my cd is. lol

I think you're right. It's been some years since working with ZH WB. Just scripting for UNIT NAME being unmanned should have the unit on the ground and ready for capture and use. I suspect if it's not working, the units don't belong to PlyrCivilian or something related to his scripting is not correct... Names match, script in civilian folder etc.

GUYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYS, i uncheked "pwerable" for a chopper, it goes down..and the color of her life meter is blue...so i send soldier to capture it and it can't...P.S: i puted a chopper inside CombatZone and it worked...but not the others...so with unchecking "powerable" and "enable" i should add a script too, to be able to capture it ?
Posted by: yurdeath2010 - Thursday, March 10, 2011 9:07:36 AM
That's what I thought but he said he's checked all that. Also, in my picture above, my Chinook belongs to the Air Force General so it can belong to another team and still work.
Bouggy, it would help if you uploaded your map for us to take a look at.
oh and btw, this is my 50th post PROMOTION. lol
Posted by: Drummin - Thursday, March 10, 2011 9:13:11 AM
Well then that means you have made an error in your scripting. The names don't match or something. I broke out ZH WB to make a sample map.

sorry, completely missed your post. didn't even see it.
I honestly don't know what the problem is if you have done everything that drummin did in the map he uploaded. you don't have to uncheck those. It would help if you upload your map for us to take a look at.

Is the script in the PlyrCivilian Folder? And you checked the names used on the units compared to the scripting? If you're still stuck, Zip up the map and send it to me at drummin(at)cnclabs.com
Posted by: bouggy - Thursday, March 10, 2011 7:12:23 PM
