when ever i enter worldbuilder for zero hour, a square is land and the rest shows up as water, and when i try some stuff, it crashes on me.

what should i do? i want to make a map really bad

Just a guess but it sounds like you replaced the default map named "Mission" by clicking "Save" instead of using the "Save As" feature and giving your map a custom name. Now when opening WB this map loads.

Note: Anytime you get an "Assertion Failure" error, click ignore and ignore from now on when other pop-ups come up until it clears.

Try making a new map by selecting "File/New" and set the size to 300 by 300, a border of 10 and initial height of 60. Go to "Edit/Edit Player List" and click the button that says, "Add Skirmish Players". Select the "Waypoint Tool" from the toolbar and left click to add a start position for a player. On the "Waypoint Options" window, select from the drop-down "Player_1_Start". Add another start position for a second start position. Save the map using "Save As", giving the map a unique name like "TestMap1".

You should be able to select this map under "Custom Maps" when playing the game. You won't be able to do much without supplies but this should get you going. Let us know if you need more help.

I figured this out by making the same mistake twice. If you press Ctrl+A apparently this happens. The way I found to get rid of it is to press Ctrl+A again.
