I managed to get an airfield up and test the air units.... they work just not any ground units... THis I plan on making a skrimish map... but only for players I dont want AI.

If someone could takea look at it... I would really like that... im compleatly stumped.

Twilight Flame, a massive 8 player map, has 240100 square units of map.
Your map has 630000 square units of map.

I've never come across the problem before. I'm guessing that the game has literally given up on trying to calculate movement paths through such a massive map. Planes won't have this problem, because they have no impassable terrain, but ground units will have.

If you need help, post in the forum. You'll get help a lot faster than if you send me a PM.

Hello Sluggy,
I tested your map and yes there is a problem. I have seen this once before on a mission map someone sent me and we could never fix the problem. I thought I'd give it a try anyway. I removed object types one by one to see what object or objects are causing the problem. When I got to Props I was able to then move my dozer and build. I then tried removing different Props and found that when I removed the Chain link fence I was able to build. I almost responded to your post saying that you had overloaded on this particular object. I then tested with an AI player. Now I understand, you're making a multi-player only map and that base areas and pathways are not setup for skirmish, but the player should at least build and move around. I found they did not move, nor could I. For testing I removed all buildings and objects from the city area and tested again. I found I could move about freely and the AI built a huge base and army. Your city is very good but has too many objects, at least of particular types. You should be able to have up to around 3000 objects and you had around 2600 so it would seem that weeding down objects with high numbers, like the fence etc might help.

My conclusion at this point was Object overload on a map that is WAY TOO LARGE. Really, your two player map is larger than I would recommend even for an eight player map. The city alone is about 350 by 350, which is a good size for a two-player map. I really like the city and dam area and so if resizing I would defiantly use the bottom-left anchor square to keep these areas in the map. To keep the dam and still have room for bases restricts the reduction to around 600 by 600, which is still a large map for Generals or Zero Hour. I moved the town in the top section back into the resized map and removed most of the trees and other objects left outside the map.

I then tested for movement, still no good. I removed the fences, still no good. I removed the small supply piles, AI and I could move for a bit so there's still more object trimming to do. I really didn't want to do it but I removed all building and props from the city and the map played fine. I then put all buildings back and looked closer at the city. Your player list had an extra player "PlayerAmerican", which makes me think that possibly the map was worked on at some point with Generals World builder, which could be the problem. I removed this player and selected everything in the city and assigned them to PlyrCivilian. Still no joy. Remember all my testing took place on my resized copy of the map

At this point I would say to look at individual building types and remove them one by one. I would say the map got corrupted at some point. Your city looks great but seems to be the issue with the map. I would start over being more careful with the scale of things.
