I made a sample map but I can't figure out how to test it...

If you've added start position waypoints for the players and under "Map Settings" you've left the "Name" textbox blank, And then saved your map as "Whatever your map name" is, then you should be able to see your map under "Unofficial Maps". If you still have trouble let us know.
