i downloaded the generals shockwave mod but it wont install on my computer please help

i have the latest version but when i go through the set up it starts installing then it says "this program is not responding". i also have a vista computer

Have you tried downloading the mod again? It could be corrupted

no i will try it. it also says some of the files are protected. it asked me if i want to overwrite them. i say yes and then it starts not responding
