Ok, I'm still teaching myself how everything works, but I had a really neat idea and would like your thoughts on how feasible it would be.

The idea is to have a war factory that makes just the bare vehicles, without hardly any weapons. Then the weapons would be built from the vehicle's command bar like the upgrades to the overlord tank or the helix.

So one factory would produce a Humvee chassis, a Technical chassis, and some other vehicles and then you would "upgrade" each vehicle with the weapons you want. Like a gattling cannon on top of a humvee, or a garrisonable bunker in the back of the technical.

I realize that some modeling would be required, and this would be FAR from an easy mod. But it would add a whole new level to the game IMO. So realistically, how impossible would this be?

Thank you for your time on this hypothetical.

Very possible, just a hell lot to code and (re)model.

I have no experience in this field of modding but would like to note that that humm-vee looks badass! A little unconventional but badass!.

I would also like to ask what's the great idea behind a mod like this?
I know it's pretty cool and i'm not saying i wouldn't love to make my own units two as you have done but if you mod your'e game like that then you cannot go online can you?
Unless the other person has the same mods?

hmm...

When I play multiplayer it is usually with my brother, and we share mods and stuff so sometimes I forget that the average multiplayer doesn't automatically share files.

sigh... still a neat idea for something like C&C all stars, to enable the "generals" team to utilize all of the "generals" techs.

You never know what you got till it's gone.

Cheer up, at least you can play online with your'e bro.
I can't, my comp sucks, so i can't really install it without immense lag.
And we have the same copy of the game so can't play on both P.C's at same time.

Zero-Hour would be so cool to be able to play online with my bro.
Even though he's been an arse on Renegade. But hell can't blame him.
Hackers and cheats are frequent + it's quite an old game we've had for like 2 1/2 years!
