I'm wondering if it's possible to import a map from Zero Hour into Generals. Since we've got two copies of Generals, but only one of Zero Hour, we play that on multiplayer instead. (We can't get Zero Hour to with the same copy work. The moment one of us gets online, the other guy get's kicked off. It also doesn't work of LAN play.) So I'm trying to get some of my Zero Hour maps into Generals. But whenever I try to open a map from Zero Hour in the Generals world builder, it's just a blank map. All the players are there but it's just a square grey terrain of nothingness. Is there a way to get it working? If not, that's okay, I'll just remake the map. It's fun anyway!

Well no one replied. I'll assume it's not possible. Thank you all for pondering this question.

The reason why you cannot get on Zero-Hour together. Is it because it's exactly the same game?

I mean, i'm wondering do you have the same CD-Key as your'e friend?
Because i#m hoping to go online with my bro on it sometime but am wondering if it'l work with the same copy of the game?

For us, using the same copy of Zero Hour on two computers doesn't work. But having installed separate copies on each of the computers for Generals works fine. But this is puzzling because I know someone else who was seccussful in using the same Zero Hour copy over LAN play. I have not idea why though.

I reckon it is the CD-Key that does it. The only reason why a manufacturer would add a CD-Key to a game is so that that person cannot use the same copy of the game if it's already installed on another PC.

Actually, it's more so that you can't have a pirated game with a KeyGen generated serial key work online or registered with the game producers for benefits.

That's retarded. What's the big idea?

DO they realise that NO ONE even reads those stupid "License Agreements". Or at least i certainly don't!

Is the government going to shut down the site and fine them for it or something!?โ“

Perhaps you should start reading them. After all, you agreed to them when you decided to register an account.

Oh yeah. I could just really see that in court. That'd be a classic

"Case{Number} Government vs CNCGeneralsworld.com, charged with allowing a user to download a KeyGenerator for the computer game Command & Conquer Generals Zero-Hour"

LOL...you got some jokes->๐Ÿ˜ช

KeyGen allows people with pirated copies of the game play the game like people who bought genuine copies of the game. It is unfair for players with genuine copies to have to pay more if users of pirated games payed less to get the same amount of features. If you're going to talk about these stuffs, don't talk about it here.

Facing a lawsuit may indeed seem unlikely, but being sued  for piracy  or the posting of copyrighted material  would certainly not be unprecedented. Nor would the simple receipt  of a cease and desist  order, even in the realm of computer gaming . If you have any other questions about this matter, you are welcome to contact me by email or post in the community forum .

@Me Myself And Pi: Apologies that this thread went off course. As for your initial question, I do know know of any way to convert a Zero Hour map to Generals.

that can not be the problem.
i've been to 3 LAN-parties now, and every time we use my zero Hour disk to install Zero hour, and i have a site where you can get Keycodes to games n' programs..
anyway, we all use a different key and install a no-cd patch, that way you can use even more than 5 pc's at t3h same times with only 1 cd

Well thanks for the info, but it doesn't seem right using other CD codes. Sounds something like Copy Right Infringement, which is illegal.
