the gameplay is really great, easy to get used to and there are alot of different classes and races so there are alot of different things you can do and several ways to do the main quest too.

Heard it was good. Never was much of a fan of that style game.

I have a friend that has it that says it is very good. He also got a free copy of Neverwinter Nights 1 when he bought 2 so he gave me his old one. However, I never installed it yet.

neverwinter nights 1 is alot of fun to play, got it and both expansion packs for 15 euro and was busy with that for 2 months until i got neverwinter nights 2.
neverwinter nights 1 is a little bit behind in graphics but the gameplay is still lots of fun and the graphics arenยดt that bad, neverwinter nights 2 looks great ๐Ÿ˜„

ITS AWESOME! But rather glitchy :/
it is more like Baldur's Gate 2 than NWN1 because of the "instant teleport" to each town, memorizing archane scrolls, and one item slot per item (doesnt matter if the item is a rock or armor)
it borrowed the "Oblivion approach" to talking, and unfortunately the characters are always fully dressed :'(

Also, the game is based too heavily on the main campaign...2 classes are only obtainable through the campaign. Not to mention a level cap of 20 again...

To me NWN1 was a much more complex game, but NWN2 is more enjoyable and fast paced. I have almost beaten it and I do not play that many video games as of recently...stupid school

so (as of now):
NWN1 > NWN2

but that will change very soon.

i also dont like the cap that much, but nwn 1 started with a lvl 20 cap to until the expansion packs came so it might change for nwn 2 too (i hope it does).
talking is indeed kinda oblivion like but it's also alot more like Knights of the old Republic, and the makers of nwn1 have some connections with that game so i guess they used thesame system as in KotoR. i do agree that the 2 classes that can only be gotten through the main quest aren't the best choice, you need to play the main quest if you want them and being forced like that is not always nice. but there are alot more classes and races and thats nice again. finally an elven race which has extra intelligence ๐Ÿ˜„.
still trying to get the hang of crafting, it's kinda complex right now but i guess i just need to experiment a little bit more.

Same. I really liked games like Diablo and Diablo 2, where you had a birds eye view. But in my opinion most newer RPGs haven't been good.

ran into a bug with the main quest. got to love their very active forums and then debug system. just had to give myself one quest item which the game hadnยดt given me and it was fixed :)

got my character to lvl 10 now and the story is very interesting. i really wonder what's going to happen next with this story since it's all so mysterious

when you see the end you will know what happened...

if you want to know, just pm and ask, I don't wanna ruin the the horrible suspense of it

I'll try to find out the ending for myself ๐Ÿ˜›
what lvl were you when you reached the ending? i'm already lvl 10 in act 1 so i'm really wondering how easy it is to get to lvl 20.

lol. should put the game on the hardest difficulty, then start throwing fireballs and watch how your allies/summons and enemies all turn on you ๐Ÿ˜›

lvl 11 now and started act 2. if i get lvl 20 way before the end then i'll just take a race with a lvl adjustment in my second play through, should make it harder since my main char will be 1-3 lvl's lower then normal. or i could just take 2 companions instead of 3. many ways to make it harder ๐Ÿ˜„

lol. i only used it to fix a bug or to lvl my character to lvl 20 so i can test out combinations of classes and if i find a nice combination i make a new character and try to make it into that combo. dont really use the console for anything else myself. always fun to play atleast one evil and one good character, neutral characters are the hardest though, shouldn't gain good points but also shouldn't gain evil points. not always easy.

i'm thinking about making a module for nwn2. right now i got a world map on paper and the story (not really detailed yet, just started on that part). i played around with the toolset a little bit and it's not all that hard, the only things i can't do well is make new models, dont even know if i'll need em, i guess i'll find that out later if i get anywhere with the module.

only problems with the toolset/game: it has scripting and scripting confuses me @_@

also, i believe there is a max of 3 people per party...

3 henchmen yes, so max of 4 if you include yourself. but in ACT2 you already have 5 people instead of 4 so more should be possible.

i haven't looked at scripting that much yet but there are some good toturials out there so i think i'll figure it out. need to get a story finished first, then make the first area's and i think it will be mid january then...
