How would i go about making my own soundtrack of mp3s? i already have the finalbig editor, and i just guessed that i should go to inizh.big, music.ini, and then replace the USA_01.mp3 or whatev filename with my own, C:/DocumentsandSettings/(name)/(album)/(song filename).mp3, but this did not work, instead, i either get silence or the original unchanged soundtrack according to which track i edit in music.ini. am i doing something wrong?
-i did make sure the song was an mp3
-i checked for typos

You'll need to place the MP3 file in the [Generals]\Data\Audio\Tracks\ directory (create it if it doesn't exist).

Which program would i create the Generals audio directory in, and where is it? I'm used to modding inizh, so i am not familiar with a data\audio\tracks\ directory

okay, figured that out before krit responded, but one more problem, which scripts do i need to edit to change the shell's soundtrack, my efforts in other areas work, but i figure its about scripting in the shell, and if so, someone needs to tell this scripting ABSOLUTE NOOB (ME) how to do it

You either edit the script or you edit the Music.ini (Data/INI.). The section looks like this:

MusicTrack Shell
Filename = USA_11.mp3
End

hehehe, I just play with Winamp so I don't have to change the files program but...

How can I trigger a piece of the soundtrack in my map?

1. Open another person's map and see what their script is. (go to my tutorial at this site if you don't know how to access scripts)

2. By memory I think it's in multimedia-> song-> play a song to all players.
Email me if you ever need help (edited signature November 6th, 2014)
