I had a match against my improved SWG for v0.5...
It all started calmly... i went for the derricks first thing and build 2 supply depots so my economy could match theirs. I was infanty general...
i did not bother with defenses other than the occasional gat cannon to stop burtons. their tomahawks would raze any defense from afar and i wouldnt be able to do anything. i instead invested in migs and attack units. As per usual he had a couple of PCUs by the time my propaganda center was done. i spread my base over a large area so the PCUs wouldnt hurt as bad.
my trick of sending infantry first then the actual transports worked to a certain point against alphas but a huge mass of comanches would come and while im busy shooting them down my army would get fuel air bombeb repeatedly. if i managed to get to their base more tomahawks and comanches awaited while snipers inside and outside firebases cheved up at an incredible speed. i gave up attacking.. it was pointless and too costly.
I massed on nukes instead. by the time i had my first one close to launch tomahawks were knocking on my bases doors and my migs didnt fare too well against the avengers, TOW hummers and missile defenders. i took a load of them out but it just wasnt enough.
when my first nuke got to 0:00 it was badly damaged. an alpha came and dropped its load. i fired the nuke and then the FAB blew it it.. soo close i thought. when the nuke arrived i took out his aifield and a lot of units in the defense. a couple more nukes took out most of his main bases but he kept pumping out vehicles from his secondary bases, all of which with a lot of drop zones so i couldnt kill his economy!
that tactic of progressively damaging the AIs buildings until red and then nuking them all didnt work this time as the dozers now repair anything in sight including defenses during an attack...
PCUs kept on hitting and i had cruise missiles flying in from 2 flanks. i went down with a fight though!

v0.5 will come out tonight and heres some of the changelist:
-All generals get less cheat money in late game (less than the original AIs already)
-Infantry general will build a lot more hackers and spread them around (a bit buggy as they sometimes send them too far lol)
-demo gen will build black markets if it runs low on money
-USA generals will only have 2 chinooks (3 provides little advantage and clogs up when they all move to another pile)
-AF general builds base faster (no other improvements yet)
-SWG will buy the pathfinder science properly
-Fixed SWG not building units bug
-Improved Infatry general's bunkering logic (not so much infantry idle in base)
-SWG will use and upgrade MOAB more reliably
-Tweaked Demo general's sneak attack group
-Removed frenzy picking for now as the AI didnt use it (will pick barrage instead)
-Demo general will use more balanced attack groups
-Demo general might launch a 3 way attack with artillery and tanks right after a scud storm, sneak attack and anthrax bomb if it feels mean
-Improved base repairing and rebuilding for all generals
-Made AI units more agressive
-Improved general point picking (minor changes)
-Infantry general will build and upgrade mines
-Better firebase filling for the SWG (will start earlier and upgrade to pathfinder once obtained)
took longer to do this one but the updates are worth it. note i did not yet "improve" the AF general i just did a test run and made it build slightly faster. it wont be a challenge as of yet.
