I am currently trying make a nuclear explosion go off when a civilian nuclear power plant is destroyed. I tried to make a nuclear missile silo attack the power plant when it's blown up but to no avail. I need help you guys!!!

What you could do is spawn a nuke truck & then blow it up. It has an explotion equal to the nuclear missile.

Dude, you really need to not read my mind, lol, my idea!!! but seriously, I want to do the same thing, and have the nuclear waste remains spilling out.

Alright thanks. I also had another idea. Since a nuclear missile silo sets off an explosion when destroyed I could place one below the surface and have that be destroyed when the power plant is destroyed. Just an idea.

Alright. Since a nuclear explosion in real life releases radiation that lasts for decades how would you make it so the radiation doesn't dissipate? I know how I could do it by editing it in the INI folder but I don't want it to do it to the whole game. Just this map.

If I remember correctly, there should be a script that continually spawns a radiation pool/fire storm/toxing pool on a waypoint.

Spawn unit of type 'RadiationFieldLarge' on Team 'teamPlyrCivilian' at waypoint Waypoint 'TheBomb'

If you can take a look at the Nuke General Challenge map you will find some interesting scripts made by EA that makes radiation fields respawn as soon as it begins to dissipate.

I used it once in a map. A bit excessively LOL but it worked a treat! Infantry were not a good tactic...lol! 😞
