Hello,

I made a map, where I wanted the defending units to basically stand behind obstacles for cover.

Regardless if the cover was destroyed, I'd still like the units to 'stand ground' and not move towards the enemy who are attacking the defending team.

Ofcourse, the defending team still needs to fire back at the attackers as soon as they're in range.

Can this be done? Can it be used for both individual units and teams?

Thanks.

Have you tried using the guard script?
You can have units/teams guarding their current location or a specified trigger area. They will only attack enemies that are inside their default guard areas or the area you specified and will stop chasing enemies when they get too far.

Though I'm not sure, I think that setting a units aggressiveness to "Passive" will make the unit only attack if enemies are inside their attack range.

Try setting the "Held" status for the unit to "True," under the movement options in your scripting. This seems to work for some units, but for others it prevents them from firing. I know I've wanted to do the same with tanks and artillery pieces in checkpoints, placing sandbags around them. Battlemaster seems to work, but Overlord doesn't.

Passive mode is going the unit to ignore enemies even if it's on its face hehe
