I've been trying to get my mod to work, and i think its almost there. Except for one thing.
When i go into the game, i can go through the main and skirmish menus. but when the skirmish game is loading, it crashes when it gets about 1/4 of the way.

this is what i got from releasecrashinfo, if it helps;

world builder still works fine.

I've gone through this...

The Coding maybe correct.
But the Game Engine sees a Violation that shouldn't be made in code.
Otherwise, if you can find a way to modify the Game Engine itself.

Like the time I HideSubObject'd Headlights, the game always crashed at Night Maps, since units with Headlights SHOULD have Headlights.
Death Label:
Reduced back to 3 main factions(and a couple of extras).
Each faction can choose a(or all of them) tech-tree via General's Powers.
Angel Wings: Jets and Anti-Air, Helicopters and Missiles, Hovercraft and Lasers
Red Skulls: Armor Division, Mecha Armada, Drone Swarm
Earth's Saviors: Air Raid, Homeworld Security, Stealth

Its most likely a typo in code of one of the on-start-spawned objects like CC or dozer/worker. Check them out if youve edited any. Also, if its a custom map with map.ini, check that for typos.

slightly offtopic- anyone know of a 3rd party debugging software for C&C?


-edit- Figured out what it was. my start building and unit names were wrong in PlayerTemplate

Worldbuilder runs a debug each time it launches, and if finds an error, usually gives a description and precise location (file and code line) of it in from of 2-3 erros. never found anything else.
