I'm new to both CNClabs and scripting the only thing I've done with world builder is basic skirmish maps fairly flat not much for mountains or waters or anything just start points inner outer boarders and flank backdoor main waypoints mostly just the basics needed to make a map run add skirmish players such but now I want to try something new. I want to add a BossGeneral in the skirmish mode preferably along with the other generals you can choose from so you can actualy be the Boss General as well as having random Skirmish players be possible to be a Boss General as well but i don't want to replace any current player as well I would like to add a new color BLACK to use instead of the red blues greens pinks yellows and so forth. so any ideas on how I can

1-A: How can I Make a Boss General show up in Skirmish map and work properly fully functioning AI?

1-B: How can I Make a Boss General Show up in the General selection screen so anyone can be Boss General without replacing current generals and be fully functioning AI for non player Boss Generals (if B the Never mind A)?

2: Is there a way to add Black or even make the "Player" Black without taking out any of the current colors for the AI selections?

3: is there a way to make civilians move about, people and cars just to make an active city in the middle of a map?

My current map I'm working on is fairly large map 1375/1375 8 player map includes city and country side terrain. If I can't get 1-B then I want to use 1-A as a military base in the middle of the city attacking anyone who enters the cities outer boarders. If 1-A I would like to make their color White to blind in with civilians but I want the to be active and even counter attack. at first they will mind their own business just building up def. and gathering money like any other AI but once anyone "player" or "AI" enters city outer boarders then Team A-1 will fight any outsiders in the city as well as mount counter attacks on invaders Base.

can anyone help me with this?

fully functioning AI?


You would have to script a fully functioning AI, which is plainly not plausible yet with your lack of experience. You could program it as an AOD with some tweaks. Grab an AOD from the downloads section, and take a look at the scripts.

Yes. Each unit will need to be told to follow a waypoint path.

500 by 500 would be a large map. That map has nearly 8 times the area of a large map. It is a high risk for causing crashes.

1375 is huge but to leave good building room for a nice looking well spaced base of an inside border of 75/75 I even had used a temp building zone thing its a big blue square that shows how much room is needed for the AI to build a full base but for building larger spaced out bases like I do I wanted something bigger. no crash yet. though I do understand that this size of a map would limit to what computers would be able to use this map.

another reason for such a large map is so the city country side and mountain ranges will look more .... natural. as well as having lakes and rivers.

...Speaking of Rivers I forgot to ask how would I make small waterfalls in the river like if my river changes altitude a little from place to place I want to use a waterfall and if possible a more stronger current than the basic river. I see placing water you have two options either still water or river water but is there a way to make currents look faster in some parts of a river than others?...

as for functioning AI I just want them to build and fight I can do this with all the skirmish teams but not able to add a Boss General to function like the other AI's

for civilian activity way-point path is needed I see I was hoping for a random roaming AI's but the vehicles will be on way-points so they will stay on the road... most of the time. oh well at least I can just give them a bunch of points so they look like they are moving in random rather than passing back and forth.

but I see most of the things I want to do are in requirement of mods so I guess I'll throw away my drawing of what I had planned and try something else.
